Gary Adams, DDS

I really wasn’t up for reviewing a dentist (or doctor), but I somehow came across the only other review for this practice and felt the need to set the record straight.
I have been going to Dr. Adams for years. I became his patient when he bought out another dentist, who had some health issues and needed to leave. I have never been told I needed unnecessary work done. In fact, over the course of many years I think he has only done 1 filling. That’s it other than just my regular cleanings. So because of how little he has actually worked on my teeth, I cannot say if he is a great dentist or not. But I can say that I have never been told I needed any other work done (but this did happen to me at a different practice in the area). As far as the other review, I have to wonder if maybe he caught problems that the reviewer simply didn’t want to believe were there. I don’t get any «shady» vibes from him or any other staff here.
Another good thing to know: they always seem to be on time. I never have to wait beyond my appointment time to be seen.

The cleaning was great. The hygenist was very friendly and competent. She did an «old fashioned» get-​in-​there-​and-​really-​scrape-​the-​tartar-​off job, which I loved. If you’re just going for this, then go.
The doctor, is another story. He tried to force some work on me that I didn’t want, didn’t have time for, and didn’t frankly believe I needed. He told me my logic was «stupid» (I’m not kidding) and that I was «wasting his time», so he walked out of the exam room. I looked at the hygenist and she smiled weakly.
Unprofessional, probably incompetent, and money hungry.
