I hate touristy places. They usually rest on their laurels so. .. We decided to try this place. Yummy! Lemon smoothie(made with seltzer) and ice cream flavors galore. They make their own ice cream. The counter person also let my kids try a bunch of flavors before they settled on Candy Box(vanilla with different candies — mmmm)

Accidentally stumbled into here while looking for the«other» drawbridge ice cream place. I’m glad I did. Mystic Sweets was a much better experience. I love the vibe in here and the fact that they make so many things in-house. I came in looking for ice cream only but left with a lot more. Starting to realize that I’m an impulse shopper :) After sampling a few of their homemade ice creams(all equally delicious) I got a cup of half cake batter and half brownie ice cream — my goto combo. The ice cream was creamy and fresh and flavorful. No fake DQ brownie bits here and the cake batter ice cream had sprinkles mixed in(nice touch). A+ for the ice cream. I also got salted caramel dark chocolate fudge. Man oh man is that good stuff. The pricing was typical but that stuff is sooooo addictive. I’m a sucker for good fudge and Mystic Sweets had good fudge. Lastly, I got a few truffles for the corner pastry case. They were more expensive($ 2.75/piece) and the ladies behind the counter couldn’t make any recommendations on them because they had never tried them. Hmm. I got the dark chocolate+bacon truffle and the red velvet+white chocolate truffle. Not impressed, neither of them had the flavor a close to what they were named after and I ended up trashing both of them. I thought these were made there too but I should’ve asked first. I saw when throwing them in the trash that Nancy’s Candies made them. I would recommend avoiding the truffles. But stay close — very close — to their ice cream and FUDGE!

There may be a longer line at mystic drawbridge ice cream across the street but don’t let that fool you! Mystic sweets and ice cream is richer and more delicious!

Loads of candies, fudge, Italian ice, gelato, coffee, and of course, ICECREAM! They had a nice range of ice cream flavors, as well as different shakes and coffee concoctions that left me with the difficult decision of what to get. I went on a particularly hot day and didn’t want something milky so I went with a watermelon Italian ice smoothie which was pretty good. My girlfriend get a chocolate milkshake, and even though I’m not particularly a fan of chocolate shakes, it was great! It seems like a nice little family owned shop, and the tip jar was to help the younger female cashier with college tuition! Overall, a really nice place!

Trying to figure out why no one gets ice cream here. Polite staff unlike the neighboring ice cream shop. Better pricing and cake pops.

We usually go to Drawbridge so I thought I’d give this place a try. We order and go to pay with a debit card and are then told there is a $ 10 minimum. I had no cash and was denied the ice cream that was already scooped out into a cup. So, I crossed the street and went to drawbridge. End of story. Seriously, you could have just charged me an addition $.40 to cover the swipe fee. Geesh.

Fantastic local ice cream shop with plenty of Mystic character on the side. Get the sticky fractured finger ice cream. So delicious. Excellent indoor seating and plenty of room right out the door by the iconic bridge.

Just finished eating a sundae here and I feel the girl who was at the counter was not to friendly and had a bit of an attitude. I got a medium sundae which was about $ 8. The brownie in my sundae was very hard and I could not even break into it with the spoon! I feel it was overpriced and the ice cream was mediocre at best! Will try the one across the street next time.

A big selection of Gelato, ice creams, & fudge. While waiting in line we all picked what we wanted, we got to the counter and heard«sorry we are out of that» on 3 of the 5 items we wanted. The staff was just ok they didn’t go above and beyond they were looking to move things along. The candy selection was incredible and the ice cream and cone was 5 stars I took 1 star for not having what your board shows and 1 for customer service.

Their ice cream flavors range from classics to new and fun! It’s a nice little place. I like the service there and their collection of fudge and cute sweets! :) Definitely will come back again to try some of their other flavors. It didn’t get my 4 stars because I honestly thought that though their mint chocolate chip ice cream was very smooth and creamy– it was for some reason really salty… and at no point did I think my ice cream should’ve been salty. However my husband and parents-in-law loved theirs. :) So maybe it was just my flavor?

They have a sign in front of there store that reads«fresh fudge!» It’s a lie. Once they’re out they don’t re-order for the season. Remove the sign why don’tcha? Basically everything we asked for they were out of. It’s basically a candy shop. We just ordered coffee. It was mediocre at best. The floor was a gross wet muddy mess. No one was trying to keep up with mopping it. Someone could easily slip and fall. Cashier was meh friendly, more like she really wanted to finish and go home.

Holy jesus god oh my. Had a cake pop, which is basically cake batter on a stick, coated in chocolate and infused with god. Also had the red velvet cake batter ice cream. We had a lengthy discussion with the owner about the importance of considering the right fat ratio in your ice cream, for texture and flavor. She is apparently formally educated, in ice cream. Clearly a badass. Recommend the hell out of this place.

I stopped in here while walking around Mystic with my fiancée and I was pleasantly surprised. They had a neat ice cream concoction they called an Angel’s kiss, which was made of coconut, strawberry, and pineapple ice cream. We got it with sprinkles in a waffle cone and it was great! The ice cream was really creamy and the waffle cone was quite yummy. I definitely recommend this place if you’re around downtown Mystic and have a sweet tooth!

A wonderful Ice cream and sweets shop with a lot of personality… had a cotton candy shake there that was gone in a matter of minutes it was so good. My wife had another concoction that was so good that we have been making them at home… flavored syrup(could be anything. cherry, almond, vanilla, etc.) a little milk, and then seltzer… they called it a french soda or something… it is somewhere inbetween a soda an an egg cream I guess. They have some retro candy, some fudge and chocolate stuff, and of course. ice cream and shakes and different drinks. Def. worth checking out
