Gabe has a genuine barber shop. A barber shop that embodies the highest level of «business and customer» relationships. It’s never just a hair cut. You’re never just another person. Instead, you’re an individual with a name. You won’t find another shop that is as involved with the community.

It usually takes me a solid year to find a good barber that doesn’t need to be babysat to cut a very simple military style haircut but not this time. First week here I did a quick Unilocal search and found Gabe’s barber shop so I snuck out of the house and off I went. There was already a good 45 minute wait when I showed up around 9am on a Friday but the barbers are very entertaining! They are all relatively young and cut like they’ve been doing it for 50ish years and don’t even leave one strand of hair out of place. Oh, they’ll even offer you a cold beer while you wait! I had Steve the first time and, I’m sorry, I cannot remember the two after that but each did an equally awesome job. I think its $ 17 for a cut or $ 12 for military. Cash only but they have an ATM inside.

Great haircut with authentic baber shop experience. I got my cut from Gabe and he did a great job. Very friendly too. Sure you could pay a little less on base, but you’ll look better if you go to Gabe’s.

Ugh, i’ve been putting this off.
Want to know the reason? Gabe is the best barber in CT. Funny, personable, and great at cutting hair. Have seen him for 10 years now and i’ve never received anything but a great haircut.
I hate to put the word out, because he’s already pretty popular and I hate waiting. Give this man your business (and a healthy dose of beef for being a Yankee fan) and you’ll never need another barber.
