This is a beautiful course. With it’s deep bunkers and traps, depending on the pin placement, this course can be VERY challenging. All in all the staff was professional and courteous and the lady at the snack bar was nice and easy on the eyes. Clean facilities and a good area to get your snack on. They have a great liquor and beer selection so have you a drink after 9 holes if your not doing well. :) They also have a cigar selection but it is minimal. The Pro Shop was good but I have seen better. If you are looking for a challenge, take on Prestwick!

Very nice layout and very well taken care of course, when I played for the first time in June of 2011. Pete Dye is a favorite golf course architect of mine and links courses suit my style of play to a TEE. When I arrived at Prestwick, as usual I was a single and very unaware of any course information, prior to my tee time. The starter was excellent in providing some course knowledge to me and it really got me feeling comfortable on the 1st tee. Nothing is worse for your scorecard than not having a yardage book or a player that has been there before, to add another 5 – 11 shots to your score. So, with the extra confidence, I pulled out driver on the 1st tee, which I usually keep quiet until #4 or #5. Greens are fair in size, not stamps and not their own zip codes, reachable par5’s and slight course undulations. Par 3 #8 plays 245 from the tips on a 7000 yard track, no I am not a scratch golfer, but I do like to play the full course if my back permits. Not a lot of water and overall a great course at a fair price with a very nice happy hour, so plan your times accordingly and have fun. Prestwick has a life long lover of their course
