Great Mexican food at great prices. Everything seems to be made from scratch on site. Food tastes fresh and delicious. Pretty crowded for dinner even at 8:30. But did not have a problem getting a table.

Really didn’t love it. Wanted to based on prior reviews, but could not. Served chips with two large pots of spoon in each. No small plates provided. Warning — the red sauce is really hot! The food was OK, but nothing outstanding. Hearty portions are all this place has going for it.

I don’t write very manny reviews but know my food, travel frequently and eat out a lot in every category of dining. This is great Mexican food. The best I have had in the carolinas. We saw mostly Hispanics eating. No alcohol served. Just great authentic Mexican food. They make everything there from the corn tortillas to the Mole sauce. If you want chips and salsa this isn’t your place, you’ll have to go down the street to one of the generic places that all taste the same. If you are ready to give your taste buds a treat, you will need to go here!

Oh yea in myrtle beach for the weekend and found this gem. Im a mex food snob so i know my food. Very homemade. Server was so nice and let us order in Spanish and she was patient. I had tacos steak and carnitas and the pastor was the best. Sopes was on point also. I was not crazy about the horchata but it was still good. You know its good when you see only Mexican families eating here. I will come back if im in town again.

1. not friendly environment. why? the owner screaming at his employees 2. they have to get rid of that annoying bell yeah an old skool bell that sounds like mexican independence bell… is loud n they ring it for a good 30 sec .they ring it everytime an order is ready. they have it like rite next to the tables 2. so that was quiet annoying. 3. i found a long hair in my cuban sub(not nice) told the server… the server looked scare. she was like let me ask the owner… after 10 mins no answer… she came to my table again with no answer. long story short the owner told me im not going to charge u for the cuban short .but he was like .u found a little tiny microscope piece of hair pretty much no hair in your sub. i was like sir it was long really long… he got mad .any ways not eating there again

My husband and I made a quick trip to Myrtle Beach for the night. We wanted to grab a bite on our way out for the trip home and decided to try this place. Being Puerto Rican, my husband is very critical of Mexican joints. He got the house soup and I got the enchiladas. We were both extremely satisfied with what we got and have decided this will be a staple for us when we visit Myrtle in the future. When it comes to the service, we were approached right away when we sat down. The waitress was great and very attentive even though they were fairly busy. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area that likes authentic Mexican food.

Authentic Mexican food(we lived in Mexico for two years) in a pleasant setting. Excellent food, friendly service and imported glass bottled soft drinks which are WAY better than the US versions. Everything we ordered was freshly prepared and delicious. Red and green sauces brought to the table were fresh –and caution– spicy. Only disappointment were the packaged tortilla chips –complimentary to be sure– but with the rest of the food so fresh and well prepared, it’s a shame they don’t make their own fresh chips! Of course, this was often the case in MX also.

This was the first place on my list to try In Myrtle Beach, we were only able to get in on our 3rd attempt, they were closed both on New years and New years Eve. We were here at around 3:30 pm and the place was packed with no empty tables, though I read the sign«Seat yourselves» I could find none and the 3 waitresses acted like they ddint see us and we were pretty much non existent until one of them asked us if we wanted a table after 10 minutes. Food came out about 25 minutes after we ordered and everytime we needed something we had to hunt down our waitress, each of them were waitressing more than 10 tables each besides the counter/kitchen stool area, So the Service was pretty Non-Existent . Coming to the food, we ordered a variety of their Empanads, Tacos, Sope, Gordita. Their Red Sauce was Extremely Spicy, so all we had was the Green sauce which was mild, tasty and fresh. Tortillas for the Tacos were made fresh and the filling was huge, Empanadas were my favourite because the pastry was freshly deep fried and it was crunchy. Everything in our order was chicken and eveything had loads of shredded chicken filling in it. Their White Cheese was extremely fresh and delicious. Their Mexican Rice was the BEST, we ordered 2 refills of our rice as we couldnt get enough of it. Overall I loved every single bit of my food and would LOVE to go back but this place needs more help in the service department.

This place is authentic good Mexican food. My entire family of 6 very picky eaters could not stop sharing food because it was so good! First thing is don’t come ordering sweet tea or lemonade. They don’t have it. If you want a soft drink it will be from the bottle. Do yourself a favor get an Horchata or even better Agua de Piña. You will not regret it. The carne asada that my son ordered was so tender and everyone wanted a piece. The ceviche tostadas were yummy and refreshing. My husband got the garlic shrimp, nice big shrimp. One of the boys ordered a burrito. No one got to taste it, he basically swallowed it. I had empanadas that I had to share because no one would stay away from my plate. Try the chicken or steak with cheese. Tostada and tacos were good too. It’s off the main strip but so worth the visit. Affordable, very tasty and joyful service.

Um, mom? There are intestines and tongue on the menu… Very generous portions, we had the fish and the shrimp with rice and fried pork taco as well as guacamole and chips. Delicious pineapple juice and Horchata… Free refills! The service was amazing. They even brought out a second portion of guacamole because the first one was a little on the salty side! Sitting with locals… Can’t go wrong here, but don’t come here if you’re expecting Taco Bell or Chipotle. My son exclaimed that this was now one of his most favorite restaurants of all time! Loved the manager/owner? behind the counter… Will be back for a repeat visit.

Very good customer service and the food is great. The grilled Jalapeño is fantastic on the side of every meal! I’m in the east coast and to find this hidden place in Myrtle Beach makes it that much better.

I was pretty excited about this place because of it’s reviews, but I was a little disappointed. I am a chips and salsa addict and this place didn’t really do it for me. The 2 salsas were just deathly hot. The chips were extremely hard and thick. I almost think maybe they were burnt or something. :(Either way, it wouldn’t have mattered because the salsa wasn’t enjoyable. When we first got there, we sat for a good while before someone asked us if we had been helped yet. This person said they’d send someone right by and when she got there, she handed us menus and asked if we knew what we wanted… We hadn’t even opened our menus yet. We just ordered some drinks and asked her to come back… No big deal, just odd. Carne asada was good, no complaints there… BUT you gotta impress me with ur chips and salsa if you’re a Mexican restaurant.

I never thought I would recommend a Mexican restaurant in Myrtle Beach. In an attempt to avoid the plethora of overrated, poor quality restaurants, we gave this place a shot and I’m glad we did. I had two chicken empanadas and a chorizo taco. Both were great. I was surprised to find the empanadas were fried as opposed to baked. While I’m used to Bolivian and Argentine style empanadas, these were an excellent variation. I wish I had a chance to try the enchiladas with mole poblano sauce, but it was too much to attempt for lunch. It was less the $ 18 for my girlfriend and me. Quality food at a good price. Definitely give it a shot when you get tired of the tourist trap disasters that exists throughout Myrtle Beach.

Crazy good, authentic Mexican fare. The place can get a little crazy on a weekend night. There are few places to wait for a table, and the food comes out haphazardly. But it’s all worth it when they put the plate in front of you. The menu is limited, and there’s no alcohol, but what they do they do right. Try the rice milk drink — I’ve never had anything like it. Fantastic. The sopes are also delicious. They also bring a verde sauce with your meal that is amazing. Highly recommended!

Im Mexican so when I am home, I eat Mexican food. This place makes real Mexican food. The best thing I ate were their homemade corn tortillas. I literally could have eaten just corn tortillas with salsa and been happy. Service was a bit slow, but our waitress was very cheerful and made up for the slowness. The restaurant is in the cut off to the side of about 5 right turns. Get your google maps going. Back to food. Jim had the tacos dorados, which are basically floutas, which if that still means nothing to you — think taquitos-ish. I had a bite and loved that they shred the lettuce, top with crema fresca, and sprinkle queso cotija. Nomnomnom. I had bistec a la Mexicana. It’s a flattened out meat that is cooked with tomatoes and onions, almost to the point of being stewed. It’s a big plate that I shouldn’t have finished but I was on vacation. You get a side of rice and beans. Remember the tortillas — you get 4 of those. Ate them all. I think I left a corner of one just to feel better about myself. This is the place to go if you like real Mexican food. You won’t find any texmex here. No gravies. No yellow cheese on everything. The real thing.

Very good food and like you would eat in Mexico. Cooked fresh even real hand made tortillas for the tacos. All the local Latin workers eat here so you know it’s good. I will be back for more tacos for sure.

So excited to come back to town to have this wonderful food again! So happy to see they are adding additional seating. They stayed busy the whole time we were here. Had the tacos again because they are just that good! Tried the empanadas this time… wow great! It is authentic Mexican. No chips and salsa here! Try it… you will come back many times!
