Bellacino’s Pizza & Grinders

We’ve always had the best experience with this location! The staff are very friendly and very accomodating when I place large orders. I have most experience ordering lunches for businesses in the area and they’ve always gone above and beyond to ensure orders are complete and the businesses are satisfied.
I personally love their pizza and italian grinders!

Used them for catering at the hospital, and it went great. Food was good and delivery was on time. Prices were also very reasonable. I would recommend for any and all catering.

Subs were great as was the cheese bread.
Lots of cheese on both, and oven toasted.
I had the Bayou which was spicy chicken and all the trimmings I like.
Wife had the sandwich special which was enough for her.
Only one style of bread– white. But it was delicious bread.

Great pizza and grinders. The salad was not so impressive, but the grinders, pizza, and wings were GREAT! Solid service as well. Great friendly folks.

The Muskegon Bellacino’s has struggled with a bad reputation for a long time, which they’re perpetually trying to turn around. I hope they can, because it’d be a shame to have this place close down. The food is excellent, and the place itself is much, much better than it used to be. It should rank high on anyone’s list of pizza/​sandwich options.
They had a series of rather bad management that is thankfully over. In the past, one could expect customer service bordering on (or even beyond) the truly horrible mark. The hours were inconsistent. The staff was rude. If you wanted delivery, it was a crap-​shoot whether they were even delivering that day or not. Unhappy and wanted to talk to the manager? You were better off sticking with the counter person’s bad attitude because at least he/​she wasn’t verbally abusing you. It was a prime example of how NOT to run a successful business, as they went from one bad manager to another, not learning any lessons from it. Their business plummeted.
Apparently the owners have finally woken up, because that has all changed. The management is better, the staff is better, and going to Bellacino’s is actually a nice experience now. They’re happy to see you and want you to come back. Sad it took so long for them to figure out, because they got dangerously close to it being too late to fix their reputation, and it may still be too late if people don’t start rediscovering them.
The food truly is remarkably good. Bellacino’s is best known for grinders (subs), and it’s easy to see why this pizza place’s sandwiches overshadow the pizza. If a Bellacino’s grinder is a nice Cadillac with all the options, then Subway and Quizno’s are early 1970s Ford Pintos in need of tune-​ups. It’s likely one of the best sandwiches you’ll have in this lifetime. No joke. Eating a grinder is an almost orgasmic experience.
But don’t forget that they have pizza too. Their pizza is pretty decent. In an area that’s overrun with pizza places, Bellacino’s is definitely one of the better choices. It’s your typical hand-​tossed variety but the crust is good and the sauce and toppings are better than most. They have other options too: the soup is usually really good, the Italian cheese bread is amazing, the salads are fresh and HUGE, and they have a couple pasta dishes — though I don’t know why anyone would order pasta from a pizza place as it’s usually disappointing at best. But hey, since I haven’t actually tried Bellacino’s pasta I could be wrong and maybe it’s the best ever. Worth a try, though I suspect it’d send you running back to their grinders.
If you’ve never had Bellacino’s before, now would be a good time to give them a try. If you’ve gone there in the past and swore never again, do yourself a favor and give them another chance. Your taste buds will thank you.

Oven baked subs? Yes please! This place is great for subs and parmesan bread.
