Adrianne P. is spot on with the depth of her coverage. We loved the overlook, there are some nice animal sculptures and a view of the Mississippi, a cool wooden bridge, an island, a very nice city park. A little out of the way, took me a few years of Muscatine visits to find it and glad I did

Weed Park is my favorite park; 72 acres, w a 3 acre lagoon, it’s incredibly beautiful w a lot of cool features. Such as: –The large lagoon w ducks and geese year round(they have their own island and wood shack they hang out in when not gliding or waddling around). It’s fun an peaceful and people fish there too. –Besides the Quackies, there’s so many cool animals. I’ve seen a BEAVER(LOL!), groundhogs, hummingbirds, raccoons, cardinals, butterflies, dragon flies, frogs, and toads. it’s really cool for a nature lover and actually its a great place for walking Fido. All the dogs I’ve walked here love the joint. –Neat lay out w hills, forests, fields, wildflowers, and immaculately landscaped. –Aquatic Center/Water park! –Bandstand and Concession stand. Music and sno cones! –Picnic areas and myriad shelters. FUN! –Playgrounds –Restrooms and free parking. –A beautiful rose garden and butterfly garden. There’s also a zoo garden of flowers and bronze and copper animal sculptures intermixed with the artistic flora. –Tennis courts(10 w 4 lighted) and 2 lighted sand volleyball courts. –Two cannons and some war stuff. –Quaint old wood bridge over the creek and stone bridge over the pond. ’ –Hiking trails and pretty views. Perfect mix of Parks & Recreation. Functional and fun! Leslie Knope would be proud.
