Probably the best submarina in the area. My husband and I were surprised by the friendly staff and availability of everything we wanted(we usually go to the one in temecula, which seems to always be out of certain things we enjoy). The lady making our sandwiches even suggested we try somethings we never even heard of. Excellent experience!

This place has amazing subs, of course it’s submarina, everything is very fresh, don’t ever try and use a coupon though they shut that right down its a shame, not expired or anything, she said we don’t participate in that got the little coupon in the mail last weekbetter to go up the road 1.5 miles to the sky canyon or cal oaks at least they don’t give you a hard time.

I have phone ordered sandwiches here multiple times with avocado and took home the sandwich to find it missing the avocado even though i was charged for it! They obviously thought that it would be okay to skip the avocado since I wasn’t standing there watching them make it. A very sneaky way to save money and cheat the customer. I now go to other submarina locations that don’t do this to me.

My co workers and I ordered for pick up. We ordered at around 11:30 for a 12pm pick up. The staff over the phone was incredibly sweet and patient. We ordered off of their website but unfortunately there isn’t much to go off of. For example: the different sauces they offer, what kind of bread they had or the veggie add ons. I personally ordered the Santa Fe 3 inch sandwich. Since it came with a side, I ordered the macaroni salad. The portion was enough to fill me up and for only $ 6 it was well worth the money. Everything was delicious. I will definitely come here again.

Way better than Subway. They are so generous with the portions and everything tastes great! They always have coupons too as well as a stamp card.

Nothing special or a place to rave about. The sandwiches are better than Subway. The staff were nice. The décor, sides and specialties show that this place isn’t trying too hard to attract customers.

So good! This location is always on point!!! Sandwiches are so good, bread is always fresh, toppings are always fresh. The staff is always very nice. However the epic’ness of this sandwich shop is the value of their sandwiches. All sizes are big, I prefer the 9″ it’s super filling the thing is a toad! I always joke w my buddies it’s the size of a small baby! Killer value if your over the sandwich shops that serve Anorexic sandwiches.

I have a hard time comprehending how their sandwiches are so good. I mean I watched the lady make it right in front of my face. It must be the quality of all the ingredients. The taste far exceeds any other sandwich shop. Everytime I eat here I’m reminded again how good the food is here and in always amazed, and I’ve been eating submarina since the one off Ynez in the mid 90s. My only negative this time is that the lids on the large drinks didn’t fit very tight. Not a big deal I just had to handle the drink a little more gingerly. Oh and I wish the one on Ynez or overland were still there. I work by there and now have to drive all the way to hot springs. However the drive is well worth it.

Quality of the food was better than Subway but I’m having a hard time justifying the price difference. When trying to feed my family I like healthy alternatives to fast food but I also need to be price conscious.

My 2-star rating is based solely on the food quality as I have nothing bad to say about the service… I ordered the Italian on white with lettuce, tomato, onions, mayonnaise, and oil/vinegar. It’s not that the sandwich was«bad,» but it was bland and uninspired. It was a little better than Subway, but the vegetables were just as fresh as Subway — by that I mean they weren’t. A 12-inch is about the same price as Jersey Mike’s, but the quality just isn’t there. Personally, I won’t be returning.

Food is great but such a unprofessional staff. First You should ALWAYS Greet s customer when they come in . Second when helping a guest it would be nice to acknowledged and to hold your conversations amongst your co –workers until your done with a paying customers . It comes off so wrong, look at it this way… imagine Trying to make my sandwich while I’m on my phone talking away, laughing about personal conversations, ignoring you and clearly just being rude. Well that was today, felt really uncomfortable. Management needs to step up customer service considering there are a dozen other places to eat.

Out of all the sandwich chains, Submarina isn’t so bad. I like that they originated in San Diego and have since expanded across Southern California. Their subs are pretty big(the bread loaves are wide), even the regular sized ones, which equates to their higher prices than other chains. My usual is their Turkey Club on a squaw roll. If there’s anything that has me coming back to Submarina, it’s the squaw. Not many places carry that bread. Putting all the deli meat, vegetables, and dressings between it makes for a darn good sandwich. Though I like the subs here, I can’t give a full four rating because the service is really inconsistent. It depends on who is working that particular shift when you come in. There have been good visits, there have been visits where people complain to management, there have been visits 20 minutes before closing where the staff have already put away the vegetables so your lettuce is swimming in water before it goes on your sandwich, and there have been my least favorite visits when one particular employee just. makes me not want to come back. She always seems to be in a hurry to shoo away customers. On one occasion, I tried a different sandwich to which she asked, «White or wheat?» so I clarified if there were other choices and her response again was«White or wheat bread?» like I was inconveniencing her. I settled with the wheat, but then her tone completely changed with the couple ordering behind me – she happily listed for them all the bread options. Way to be selective. Anyway, every time she prepares my sandwich the vegetables are just piled in the middle. Last I checked, you should at least spread it out so there’s a balanced taste with each bite. This hasty preparation just ruins my enjoyment of their subs and now I go prefer to go to other locations just to avoid the possibility of this staff member being on shift.

Time to find a new sandwich shop… EXTREMELY poor customer service experience. I used to come to this location at least once a week and normally had a great experience. The staff, owner and manager were always nice and even remembered my sandwich, however, after an order mix-up I’m beginning to think differently… We regularly go to other Submarina locations in the area who have a «kids deal» which is a three inch sandwich, chips and a drink — this one has it too. My mom and sister specifically ordered the kids deal as they were getting their sandwiches made(they are both adults, but every other location we’ve been to has given them the deal without worrying about it). However, when it came time to pay at this location, the manager said that they couldn’t give the deal to them since they weren’t under 12, which would have been nice to know when they ordered since there is very little price difference between the kids sandwich and a full size sandwich(the major difference being the chips and soda). After stating our initial discouragement of the fact that we wish we had been told this as we were ordering(we obviously had no kids with us), we proceeded to order sodas and chips for our entire party. Instead, they gave us two smaller cups with the other soda cups(apparently these smaller cups were water cups) — thinking they had just given us the kids deal after all, we thought nothing of it and proceeded to have lunch. Several minutes later, the manager, who had rung us up, came by our table and proceeded to make a scene, stating loudly that if we were going to continue getting soda in the water cups that we would have to pay for soda cups. We tried explaining that there had just been a mix-up, and that’s what we thought we had paid for, but she continued to make a big deal of it and made us feel like criminals while the location was filled with other people having lunch. Like I said before, I always come to this location, so it’s obvious that there had been a mix-up while we were ordering. We were not given a receipt so we couldn’t tell if she had misunderstood us or had just given us the wrong cups. Either way we insisted on paying for the sodas we thought we had already paid for. It was truly an embarrassment to be treated this way, and it is unfortunate that a MANAGER would go out of their way to make us feel like that(for pennies worth of soda, no less!), after we had already had a bad experience at the counter. I will not be returning to this location, and will be re-telling my experience to all my friends and family. It’s sad to think customer service is dead.

This place is awesome. Top notch service all around. This company has catered 2 parties for me in the last few months and exceeded my expectations both times. Thank you to Vonnie and Stephanie for always taking care of me.

I don’t know how Subway is still in business! Great place, friendly employees, very clean dining room, and top-notch food. Can’t go wrong with a hot roast beef and turkey or philly. Their santa fe salad is also great, and they load it up with meat. The bread is the best thing about this place; you’ll love it. I’m a regular, because I’m hooked.

Definitely an amazing sandwich shop. I was kind of skeptical because it looked just like an ordinary Subway. Until you look at the menu, that is. They had such a variety of fresh meats(which they slice right in front of you) and unique cheeses and breads. I was so indecisive. I ended up getting the A.T.C(Avocado, Turkey, Cheese) sandwich on squaw sliced bread. It is the bread they serve as rolls at Black Angus… AMAZING! They have fresh sliced avocado, sprouts, all veggies, and multiple sauces. I am definitely a sauce queen. They had WASABISAUCE! I loved it! So delicious and cheap! The staff was so helpful and extremely patient! It’s a bit over whelming because there is such a huge variety of sandwiches, salads, and wraps. If you are near one of these franchises I would advise you to stop and give it a try. You will definitely not be sorry! =)
