I first met Robert because my landlord called him for the rat issues in our rental. He took care of everything there. He called me to follow up a few days after the initial visit, I could have called him, but things were fine after his visit. I called him to help when we moved out of the rental and bought our house. He was great, took care of the rodents, ants and spiders.

Avoid at all costs. Robert, I will be sure to let the BBB know as well as send you a bill when an elimination company comes to finish the job you were pre-paid to do. Here is the story: This guy had no problem taking $ 365 from us to get rid of mice /rats, however he did have a problem eliminating them. This was mainly due to having bad business skills and not keeping in contact. There were no set appointments, call him, wait 24 – 48 hours for a response and the response was typically ‘I am 10 – 30 minutes away’ We aren’t home every day all hours, but we were able to schedule time for the first visits. Then no more responses via phone for 4 months which prompted Karthika’s review. We got some shocking emails from him today, we have been very pleasant and nice through the experience, and he is very friendly in person, but something snapped and here are his emails to us(we didn’t edit them): «Why are you writing reviews like this. I told you or my problems with contacting you. Your house is completely infested. I have sealed the holes/and they chew new ones. I have tried to set return times with you and you put me off. I have made special trips for your house. Peter called me to come back after reading this review would you??? Robert Explain 1−866−252−9353» Pretty bad business skills there, that’s to Karthika’s post, which is honest and fair, since it had been 4 or 5 months of waiting for a call back as we dodged rats at home with a new baby, no calls back from him during that time, which we would call 3 – 4 times a week waiting for a callback. Also he wrote: «I never got phone calls saying the rats are running around. You need to talk to peter about phone messages. I respond to problems always. Robert. I did not receive 4 phone calls from you either/I can prove with my caller id. If you had such problems then why did you put me off a week. Contract void good luck with your smells.» Rude. All in all not a nice guy, voiding a contract that we paid for and he did not fulfill. Of course we did call him, we have phone records yadda yadda, but sigh, really? so petty… Here are some tips: control yourself and eliminate rats, get someone else to run your business, and whatever you do, don’t treat your customers this way, yuck.

We called Robert to help us with our rat problem because of the shining reviews on Unilocal.He was great initially, but we are very disappointed with his lack of follow-up. He has not returned numerous phone calls to finish the job(he first came to our home about 4 months ago), and unfortunately, we still have rats. We thought we were going to get five-star service based on what we read here, but we’ve actually caught more rats without his help. He requires that you pay him his full price up front, which is supposed to include follow-up. I will gladly update this review when we are rat-free.

Can I just say that Robert Gibson is my savior? I work for a real estate company and we got a foreclosure into inventory that had open violations for because it was infested with cockroaches and rats. So, naturally I came to Unilocal looking for someone in the San Bernadino Area since I am from LA. Robert answered my call quickly gave me a bid in the matter of minutes and I had the asset manager approve the bid that day. He did the work fast and even came back to keep checking on the property weeks after. He was a pleasure to work with. He was completely honest and he has very decent prices. I liked him services so much I used him again for another one of our nasty houses! I will make sure he has work as long as I do what I do at my company! Thanks Robert!
