This is the most happening place for dancing and live music. New stage, good food, and reasonable costs.

Fun place to hang out and dance. Very casual, pool tables, big screen T.V.‘s to watch all the sports. I was here on a Friday night, so service was a bit slow. I had the potato skins appetizer, which was average. I probably will come back when they have bands I like.

Found this place here on Unilocal.Didn’t have high expectations with it being a sports bar. Love to try new things and support the locals. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The Spinach dip appetizer was amazing. Good happy hour. I have been here a couple times and everything I have ordered has been delicious. Two thumbs up.

Hadn’t been to this place in years. Many years worth of bad service and cranky employees from the previous owner kept me away. When I heard they dragged Brittany out of Canyon Lake, I had to give it another shot. This is now one of the top places in town to hang out and I wouldn’t have known if it weren’t for Brittany. In all honesty, the vibe here is so much more fun when she’s working. The lunch specials are amazing and I’m enjoying another perfect burger as I write this.

*****Update*****Frank sent me a very nice personal message this evening and apologized for the first Taco Tuesday tacos and he said that they have taken steps to make it a much better and tastier Taco Tuesday! I do love The Cove and I will be back! That get a 1star for the tacos and a 4 star for their effort and all of the other great things about the Cove! Thank you again Frank! I went to Taco Tuesday last night and OMG $ 2.00 for tiny tortilla street tacos with a small amount of dry tough steak, about 4 pieces of chopped onion and 5 – 6 pieces of chopped cilantro? No pico de gallo either??? I was surprised! I sure hope the owner takes note of this because that was pathetic! Sorry but I have to be honest about this… I think this is a great place but you have flunked Taco Tuesday in a very bad way!!!

Been twice, twice bitten. Customer service was slow and very mundane. Although Frank’s(the owner), greeting was excellent Ordered a Pabst Blue Ribbon beer and 2 different waitresses had know idea what that was,(the 7th largest and most drank beer in America)…sad Have not tried the food, so no opinion. Will not recommend and have told people not to bother. Won’t be going back…

The last time I was here this place was Spelly’s. Don’t get me wrong. I love Joe Spellman(previous owner). But The Cove has taken a step forward. I came here for lunch with a bud and luckily caught a great lunch special. Got a sandwich and salad that was well priced and delicious. Service was on point and Kayley was very delightful. All in all. Everything on this last visit was on point. Definitely coming back. Keep it up young Kayley. Your name is oddly spelled but it adds to the charm.

Great experience and the food was good. Not busy at lunch today so that was a plus. Some of the chairs were wobbly so be cautious. Waitresses were cute. All in all the new owner is taking the restaurant In the right direction. Kayley was an awesome waitress. I think she thought I was cuter than my friend.

Gave this place one more chance and all I found this time was the same drunk bartender trying to get a date. I have heard to much about the new owners. My advice to them is to get ride of her(I believe her name is Britney) can’t really remember since she only pays attention to guys and people buying her shots.

Typically decent bar food. Music is great. They hire better bands and keep it going.

Live bands, great drinks, awesome people! Make this a great local’s bar spot, for unwinding, enjoying a few drinks with friends and watching football on one of their many screens surrounding the bar. The staff here is great and is willing to work with you on specialty cocktails plus an awesome menu with plenty of eats for you to enjoy from.

As a regular(3−4+ visits/week) I can honestly say that the food is great! And the entertainment. aka live bands, etc. is great. Also the service is way above average, especially when Brittany or Danielle is serving me. Rarely does my drink go empty without am inquiry from them for refill, which is nice, compared to having to wait on your bartender or server just to get their attention(busy times excluded) This is, by far, my favorite place in the Tem/Murr area because of the Friendliness of the owners, manager, and staff. Like I tell others, this is literally«The friendliest, most welcoming place in town.»

This was my 2nd time going to this bar to get a drink and a bite to eat. The first time i was served by a tall blonde girl who was great. She was funny & genuinely cared about our experience. I also met the manager Tammi who was more than friendly & made sure we were happy. The food is really good — the buffalo shrimp are our favorite item.

Great place to watch sports and have something good to eat. I have tried the meat loaf sandwich, the Philly, the fish and chips and the burger and liked them all. The food is consistently good and the staff is friendly and competent. The owner is hands-on, friendly and very accommodating. The only negative for me(and it’s a small one) is that the ranch dressing isn’t home made. Kind of a pet peeve of mine. Try this place!

This is a fun bar/restaurant. Drinks were great, prices good and menu was large. Our bartender was super sweet and friendly. They have pool tables, one dart board, tv’s and an interactive trivia game. There are a few arcade type games too. They have specials throughout the week and are kid friendly before 10pm.

The new ownership is so nice! You can tell they have made improvements all around. The service is great, the food is great, they run good specials, and the overall atmosphere is better. I was not a fan of Spelly’s and would avoid it but no more! Franklin’s Cove is a place I would go back to. There is a good amount of TVs for your sports watching pleasure and a decent beer selection. I had the fish and chips. They had a nice tasty beer batter and the portions were right. Brittany was behind the bar when I was there and she was on it! I just wanted to add a little more. I came in with my GF on a Saturday night. We had the buffalo shrimp and lobster mac. Wow. It was DELICIOUS! Came in again for a business lunch. The french dip was the most tender I’ve ever had and the service was again great. Thanks guys!

The quick breakdown Food: 3⁄5 Customer Service: 3⁄5 Karaōke Nights: 4⁄5 UFC Nights: −1÷5 The food is decent with average prices for sports bar food, happy hour specials are available to make the prices even better. The service is hit and miss, but in their defense every time they screw up the order(which is oddly frequent) they make it right on the bill. Karaōke nights are where this place shines, the VJ is great and the crowd is super friendly! UFC nights are the polar opposite. Place was packed to 90% capacity, reservations were honored but all that got us was a seat at a table with another couple(awkward), people without reservations were able to stand in the bar resulting in obstructing views of the big screens. Most people would move when asked but as the night got on it got tiring having to ask other paying customers to move so I could see the screen. The best place to listen or even«hear» the fight is in the restroom, as from my seat even with the volume turned up commentary was unintelligible. I understand UFCPPV for bars is expensive and bars have to do what they can to recoup the cost, but they need to work on getting a better seating arrangement to accommodate the patrons. Maybe the fact that a local BWW burned down caused an influx of unexpected customers or perhaps it was that a Riverside native was headlining the fight card, either way the place was ill prepared for the fight and I felt I didn’t get my moneys worth. Bottom line, the place is worth a try just don’t waste your time/money coming on a UFC night.

Total redemption– WOW! Thursday night karaōke was definitely a party! What a way to wind down the week :). In my last review I posted that we’d come back and give the restaurant another chance and boy I’m glad we did! Upon walking in and sitting at our table, our server greeted us immediately. The KJ David also swung by to say«Hi» as he recognized us from the week before. There were some of the same customers from the week before as well which gave the restaurant a nice feeling of familiarity and camaraderie. While waiting for our food, the owners Tammy and Frankie walked around and welcomed everybody just like the last time we dined there which was nice. Extra kudos to our server who was very attentive and had great customer service! The food was PERFECT! I’m a little embarrassed to post what we ate because it was a lot of food, but here’s the rundown: The breaded zucchini was one of the best I have ever tasted. It was thin and lightly breaded just how we like it. The spinach artichoke dip was very tasty and the chips were very light, fresh, and crispy! We couldn’t help but to order the burger again and it was just as yummy as the last time we ordered. I had a conversation with the owner Frank about the buffalo shrimp from the last visit and he reassured us that we could always order that appetizer with the request for minimal hot sauce(we’ll try that one again the next time we come). To wrap up this essay, I’d also like to give kudos to David once again for being an awesome KJ and making everyone feel as if they are singing on American Idol. Please believe me when I say that you will have a blast coming here just watching everyone sing(or singing yourself). They have everyone from the novice, to someone who sounds like Mariah Carey! I was pretty much the only one who didn’t sing(ironically I’m filipino lol) but I really enjoyed watching people go on stage and belt out some tunes, especially my husband!!! Just FYI– The KJ is humble and does not have a tip jar like most KJ’s so don’t forget to leave him a tip! Thanks Franklin’s Cove! See you next week– We’re bringing a bunch of friends so watch out!

Though I assume this place is under new ownership with a new name, the interior doesn’t seem to have noticeably changed. The setup(bar area with high top tables and a back dining room separated by a half wall) looks the same and seems to be keeping in line with the previous sports bar atmosphere. They are one of the few bars in town that has Irish-themed entertainment for St. Patrick’s Day and doesn’t charge a cover, so lots of people came out, just like last year. Though the menu offerings look similar as well, the Corned Beef Sliders were better this time around — quality buns, thicker meat, tastier portion with crispy fries, but still basic without the cabbage. I assume the transition is still in progress as I noticed the old business logo still at the top of their receipts. It’s a holiday evening tonight, but it seems the regulars(and new patrons) will continue to come to Franklin’s for what it is.
