This is a unique jewelry store. They have a lot of unique things as well as their ability to customize your jewelry. My wife went in to look for some earrings which she did not buy, but while there they took a look at her rings. They cleaned them and found that one ring had very compromised prongs holding the keepsake diamond in the setting. They remade the setting to fix the prongs at a most reasonable price. The work probably prevented the loss of the diamond. While there, I noticed another customer and his dad who were looking for a mounting for his own diamond. The sales woman really took an extraordinary amount of time with the client for a sale that was not going to be that big. I was impressed with the high level of service and lack of hussle.

I was looking for something special for my anniversary. The staff and service at Mike’s was professional, warm and friendly. I found a beautiful ring at a great value. The best part is that being a custom piece no one else has it. If you’re looking for personalized service, attention to detail and great quality go see Mike’s Custom Jewelry. Truly a cut above the rest.

I have a non-traditional wedding ring and had an emerald replaced here a year ago; they used such a thin sliver of an emerald that it chipped a week later. I know they’re a brittle stone, but this was really a poor-quality replacement and cut much thinner than the identical emerald on the same ring. I took it back and asked them to tighten the fittings so that the remaining piece wasn’t moving around in the setting. They took it for a few days, gave it back, but it didn’t look like they did anything. The saleswoman claimed that they didn’t want to «break» the stone. Emeralds are generally a cheap stone when bought wholesale — it’s the work of the cutting and setting I should have been charged for, and that’s what was such a shoddy job. Then the saleswoman then suggested I let them replace the emeralds with diamonds — which would completely ruin the look of the ring(the emeralds are«leaves» to the flower, the center diamond.) The emerald fell out a year later. I took it to a different jeweler who cleaned up the sloppy solder work, replaced the missing emerald, and now it doesn’t move. Save your money — go elsewhere, to a real quality jeweler who isn’t too busy to do the job right.
