I was very impressed by the décor and upscale feel to this restaurant. I have been to hundreds of Mexican restaurants in many different cities and the atmosphere and feel of this new location is right up there with some of the very best Mexican places I’ve visited. The food is still the same and pretty average for what you expect from Mexican restaurants but I have no complaints at all.

Service was fast and friendly. Standard fare for a Mexican restaurant, but it was good. The prices were reasonable. I would eat here again.

Love this place. Been there three times and it’s always perfect. Great authentic Mexican food. Very patient with us when we end up yapping so much we forget to look at the menu. We hang out for awhile after also and they are very nice. Not trying to run you out the door. Of course tipping good for service like this, is how you keep service like this. Remember that folks! My daughter goes here all the time, she’s an MSU student. She says, hands down best Mexican restaurant in Murray.

This is the best Mexican place in Murray hands down. The servers are always extremely helpful and make sure you always have plenty of chips and salsa and your drink stays full. They have awesome prices with very few things being over $ 10. My favorite dish there is the Chile Colorado, the sauce is on point and the beef tips are always very tender. The Chicken, Queso, and Rice is also very good, the meat is very favorable and their cheese sauce is very creamy! This location is much better than the location in Benton because they have Margaritas you can enjoy your meal with as well!

Salsa needs help. How about cilantro instead of chili powder!!! Service is always excellent though!

One of the best restaurant I ever tried in US. I have tried fish fajita, cheese steak, grilled tilapia(fish). All of them are awesome. Even my friends tried different dishes they all were so delicious. Highly recommend it ;)

Best Mexican dishes in Murray! Here’s a hint, when you get your pre-meal chips and salsa, ask for the cheese dip as well! It’s a little extra but well worth it! There is no such thing as a long wait at this establishment! They always have plenty of workers and the taste quality has never suffered in the 65+ times I have eaten there. The only thing I do not like, is that there are too many good things on the menu to choose from!

Quick, but not great. Chile rellano was not even a stuffed pepper, but a pile of cheese with a pepper on top, skin still on. The beans were salty and a sloppy mess. The salsa was good, but not worth the trip.

If you’re a fan of Racer football, then you know about some of the traditions: listening to the awesome marching band or watching«Racer One» gallop around the track after each home team touchdown. Since the stadium is really only one-fourth of a stadium, with a perched view of the US641 — N. 12th Street business corridor, another tradition involves using timeouts to scope out a post-game eating venue. If you look southeast toward the Olympic Plaza at the corner of 12th and Chestnut, just to the right of the«Dollar» store sign(use your binoculars, if you have them), you’ll see the sign for Los Portales. Los Portales(Spanish for portal or entry) is one of at least three popular Mexican places in town. On game day, you’ll love it because they know how to deal with crowds. We arrived during the post-homecoming-game rush. Our party of ten was given the option to wait for a large table to open, or divide into tables of six and four, which we chose. Service was fast and pleasant, though with a few language challenges between us and our server. Eventually we got it all worked out. Chips and salsa were abundant, we were kept well watered, the food was consistently prepared and presented, and the prices were reasonable.

My favorite restaurant of all time. ever. period. The salsa is so addictive and the cheese dip is out of this world. When my family visits me in Texas they always bring down a cooler for me full of salsa and dip. Mainly I love the salsa and covering the #1 w/rice with salsa so that more salsa gets into my belly as fast as possible. Other stuff is good and food isn’t anything special but I always get the same thing so I can’t comment on most of it. Service is always A++.
