I have been here several times for help with my rotator cuffs.
The staff are friendly and professional.
Dr. Mike Metcalf is the best!
I had X-​rays taken, cortisone shots given, and meds prescribed.
The therapists are good and well trained. They gave me printouts of all exercises and wanted feedback on my progress.
They follow up after sessions. Appointments are easy to schedule and they work with insurance companies.
If you need help, this is the place to go.

On behalf of my mom: Aaron P. Swalberg (DPT) was her physical therapist for three weeks, and he helped her SO much. He went above and beyond, and she was very impressed by the service and attentiveness of all the staff as well. Aaron was incredibly personable, professional, clear in explaining the purpose and function behind the exercises he was having her do, and friendly and helpful. The only bad thing I have to say about TOSH and that they hurt you. They hurt you good until you do not hurt any more … or just hurt less … or it’s a functional hurt. I’m rating TOSH as a whole, not any specific doctor, therapist, or clinic. They have plenty to choose from, frankly.
I’ve done the physical therapy, I’ve had the surgery, I’ve chilled in the reception waiting for patients. That kind of makes it sound like I was trolling to pick up a guy. I can neither confirm or deny this allegation!
The facility is pretty nice just for the aesthetic aspects. It does not always seem like it should be a doctor’s office. The staff have always been friendly to me and often go above and beyond to be helpful. My first experience with the staff was when I was waiting for my sister to get out of knee surgery years ago. They made sure I knew what to expect just as much as they made sure she knew what to expect.
Much to my surprise I was there just a few short years later for my own knee surgery and I was so pleased with the outcome! Since then I’ve had back, hand, and wrist surgery. All with different docs, all with the same professional result.
The physical therapy area is where it is at. The therapists are just as knowledgeable as the docs, I’ve found. They hurt ya, oh dear do they hurt ya! But I’ve yet to walk away from therapy here and think «well that was a waste of my time!» The docs and therapists have worked on world class athletes but I’ve always felt like they take the care if this ‘less than world class athlete’ just as seriously!
Bottom line: the orthopedic specialty group is aptly named for what they do!

Excellent facility! It has been a pleasure getting to see the stellar heathcare facilities in the area. The receptionists were so helpful and friendly and the care is efficient and fast. I am speaking only for the sports medicine wing but I am sure each office is similarly run.

if you ever fall on your skates after getting groceries, and break your femur, this is the place for you!
Hubby and i just relocated to the Slc area fro Chicago 2 months ago. So of course, i hadnt had time to research what hospital group I planned to use. Low and behold I break my right femur on the 29^th of sept, skating back from getting groceries, and lucky for me they sent me here.
ER… you guys rocked, even if every time you had to move me, I almost passed out from the pain. I’ll forgive you.
The 7^th floor ortho ward, nurses, and nurses aides… thanks so very much for taking such good care of me. You are an amazing group of people. Also my case manager Tracy, went above and beyond to make sure I was being cared for, and have everything I needed.
Best hospital, hands down!
