One of my favorite winery’s to begin with but going into the tasting room just reinforced my beliefs. The people that work here are awesome, fun atmosphere and wonderfully welcoming. Grab a glass and sit in the back listen to the river and you will quickly realize why Murphy’s is on the rise.

Been visiting here for the past 5 – 6 years & I’m also a wine club member. Their grounds are beautiful they have dinners, concert, etc all are great and I’ve even had the chance to check out the cave and drink straight from the barrels – yum! They are dog friendly I’ve always brought my dogs and they get treats! By any means, visit, sip and be a part you won’t regret it ! Also try their mustards, sauces etc –yum again:)

Had a great time! Maddy was friendly and knowledgeable about wine and local info. Take time to shop for wine related signs and souvenirs.

Easily a must when coming to visit Murphys! The Syrah and the River of skulls are my favorites! The owner is also very pleasant to talk with while tasting! I find him very knowledgable and also recommended other notable neighboring wine houses!

We enjoyed all the wines here. Kim was great and gave us tips of where to eat and things to do in the area. This is a cute tasting room with a chill vibe. We particularly liked the Syrah.

Cute winery in theory… they have a great sense of humor but the wine is AWFUL! We tried six different wines here and each was worse than the last. We had five people in our group and everyone agreed. Don’t waste your time here. There are plenty of great tasting rooms in the area, skip this one.

Had a fun time at twisted oak! The owner and staff were very friendly, and the wines delicate and delicious. Beautiful Rhone valley and Spanish style wines. The tasting room was very cool too, lots of funny signs everywhere.

We went to the tasting room downtown with a group. The woman who poured for us was extremely rude and sarcastic. Everyone in the group agreed that it was our least favorite stop of the day. This woman really killed the mood with her inappropriate and sarcastic comments. She needs to be warmer and more accommodating, especially when the clientele that she is serving is drinking. Murphy’s is SUCH a wonderful, warm, and friendly town. There are some really incredible places to taste wine downtown. I have never had a bad experience in Murphy’s until this tasting room. I will be skipping it on my next trip which is a shame because the wines were not bad. Just goes to show that customer services is everything!

This was my first visit to Murpys and Twisted oak winery and I can’t wait to go back. The town is absolutely adorable and I can’t wait to go back. The tasting room was a lot of fun, the firl(forgive me I don’t know her name) was so nice and fun! We got a ton of tastings and the room has a ton of cute things to buy. It’s worth checking out and I will be going back =)

I came in here for a wine tasting during the week and they were a little busy. The guy behind the counter was a little quiet at first but he warmed up after a little while and we talked a bit. The three star rating is more for their wines than the service, which was decent. I actually didn’t really find any wines that I super liked. They had interesting names to them, but nothing really struck me as fantastic. It almost felt like all the originality went into the interesting names and the ambiance of the wines and not into the wines themselves. I was unimpressed — and therefore after my tasting, I passed on the purchase of a bottle. Additionally, the bottles were a little spendy. Although I will say, that their full flight for $ 5 is huge and actually a really good value. I also want to comment on their tasting room and garden outside — such a beautiful location with tons of flowers. Really nice gardens, and a beautiful tasting room inside with a lot of cute signs saying different silly things. It was really nice. Three stars!

My husband and I were in Murphys for the weekend over Memorial Day and heard good things about the tasting room. «The owner is funny, the wine is good and people are friendly». Whoa! Must have caught them on a bad day! Our sommelier gentleman couldn’t have been more bored, disinterested, unamusing or unfriendly. Note to sommelier: maybe you should try a behind the scenes job. Note to owner: if this is the face of your business, you might want to consider another face.

One of the most unfriendly wineries I have ever been to. A friend of mine and I walked in on a Sunday afternoon during normal business hours. We were not greeted even though we were shopping in milling around and eyeballing the girl who is serving everyone else in the winery except us. We did not receive a simple hello, or even A statement saying be right with you. Absolutely unacceptable. There are plenty of other game in town. Will never step foot in a place that lacks basic manners much less give them my business again.

Love this place! Used to be a local and now I come to visit friends and we always stop by here. They have one of the biggest tasting menus out of all the wineries on main st. And the wines are so uniquely flavored. Our server was Laura and she was amazing. Very bubbly and outgoing and knowledgeable. She made our whole experience unforgettable. And the gift shop has the coolest gifts. See Ya again soon.

I came here with my husband while we were on a weekend getaway. The tasting room was pretty packed but we squeezed in at the end of the bar and were served right away. Our sommelier(didn’t catch his name) was really entertaining and kept us laughing the whole time we were there. They have a pretty good variety of wines to taste and we were lucky enough to try a couple that are usually only reserved for club members. Our favorite was The Spaniard but with how pricy the bottle was, I settled with buying one of their glasses to remember this fun winery. We will definitely come back to this tasting room(and want to check out the actual winery) next time we’re up in the area!

Went here today for the first time. I must say the owner looks like he has a sense of humor. The tasting room had some cute gifts and was a nice facility. However, the wines were not impressive and the woman serving us started talking trash about another winery and was being very snooty about it. Very unprofessional. Will not visit again there are much better wines in the area.

The wine tasting here was great, well worth the money. The problem we have with it is the customer service. We bought a wine glass here and the girl failed to wrap it properly or put it in a box. So as soon as we walked out of the door the wine glass broke right at the stem. We were hoping the girl would replace it or at least discount another… but no. You would think that after spending $ 30 they would appreciate our business and help us out.

Wine tasting is all about the experience, right? Why come to a winery when you don’t get the service or attention expected? Wine tasting is supposed to be this magical, fun experience. It is samples of alcohol after all. Two females at the counter were serving wines to several groups of people(probably a total of 3). I didn’t like our barista — I felt like every pour she made was another drag on her day. Being unenthusiastic about the experience overall, we paid for the $ 5 tasting tasting and left. This winery has MOSTLYREDWINES, some mixed, one syrah and one petite sirrah. I would find a winery that has friendlier people and better service. I was disappointed in my experience here and would not come back to give this place another chance. We came here on June 8th around 12pm, you can check to see who was working, we were on the left side of the counter facing the barista.

Having been to Twisted Oak years ago, I had a keen recollection of the cute items the store had and the vibe. We returned recently and was reminded why I felt that way… THELOCATION/AMBIANCE: First of all, the tasting room moved across the street from where it used to be … but that doesn’t’ say much for the place’s vibe. They have a lot of fun trinket stuff to peek at for purchasing, in the front areas. And there are hilarious signs all over(available to buy). THESERVICE: The women behind the counter were friendly enough, one definitely more friendly than the other. It was a busy day, so I understood them having to get to everyone, but I did think they were a little slow on the pours. One spent a lot more time with the visitors(which took from time to pour for others) and the other barely spoke with any type of enthusiasm. Since we were in the middle, we got a little bit of both. THEWINE: The vino itself was just not very good and that might have been why I remembered the ambiance more than the wine itself. Each tasting was $ 5 each and if you purchase a bottle, the price goes towards a bottle. Besides the syrah’s(we bought the Petite Syrah), I was NOT a fan of any of the other wines. The names are clever and cute like the«2010 *%#&@!» and River of Skulls, but I was definitely wishing the group next to us didn’t move the bucket to pour into closer to them and almost wanted to spit out a few and pour out many. That was kind of a bummer. Bottom Line — Check the store out for fun stuff to buy and maybe try the syrah’s.

This is a fun tasting room full of characters and a jovial atmosphere throughout. If fun was part of a winery rating it would be a 5. The tasting room sits off of main street through the quaint town of Murphys. There is a nice white picket fence surrounding the front yard and swing on the porch. Given my Ohio roots I felt right at home. The tasting fee is a value at $ 5 with over 10 wines to taste. My issue is with the wine itself. For some this is perfect. For me it’s overly alcoholic and sweet. Overall, this is one to pass on main street unless you are looking for fun and less serious about quality wine.
