This is at the top of a driveway right off Highway 4. This is so much more than your typical pottery shop. It has been around since 1941 and doesn’t just do pottery. This is a clay processing plant where raw clay is turned into clay sold to potters across the country. That’s an interesting process — be sure to have it explained to you. They process at least three different clays, each producing a different color in the resulting works. The full factory for ceramics is available to see. They make their own glazes, so you can learn about that. Then, there’s a letterpress operation — ask to see the presses and hundreds of types of type and printing blocks and more! There is also a forge operation. Classes are available in pottery, printing and metal working! Patricia gives a great tour! The prices on the pottery items are very fair. Several different potters are represented in the showroom. Certainly worth a visit!

A wonderful stop off of Hwy 4 on your way to or from Arnold! Beautiful handmade pottery, from a collection of local and nearby artists. If you need a unique and special gift or souvenir from your trip to the Sierra, this is a must-do. Besides, Brice Station Winery tasting room is directly across from the store. Go check out the artists’ handiwork and then have a taste of the local wine, makes for a wonderful rainy day weekend afternoon!

This was suppose to be a quick stop for a carful of shoppers. But how can it be quick when 8 women are browsing through beautiful pottery with wine tasting across the yard to boot! An impressive array of different handmade pottery styles and other objects of art. Friendly staff plus extremely loveable yard dogs. Complimentary wine tasting offered at the Brice Station Tasting Room Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Noon-6 p.m. on property. Good wine and pretty pottery, great combo! A «must-try» on anyone’s list.
