First time here! Just for a beer! We will definitely be eating here soon however. Menu looks great & the décor and atmosphere are more than you could ask for of a small town grill. Owner/manager Marsha(I believe that was her name?), awesome woman…

Had one of the best burgers ever at the Coyote Creek Grill. The staff was great and took good care of us. My wife enjoyed the shrimp tacos, too.

Order at the counter. Sit down. They bring food. Eat and enjoy! The décor is kind of high-end southwestern cafeteria style, high ceilings with a coyote above the bar on an open beam. We had the fish tacos and a pulled pork sandwich. The sandwich was on a Dutch crunch type of roll. Very tasty, fresh food, reasonable prices, friendly staff, very pleased with the experience. I’ll be back.

My favorite place to eat in Murphys. Really good prices, super friendly staff and really good food. I haven’t been disappointed in anything that I’ve eaten.

I highly recommend this place. We all had something different: club sandwich, fish tacos, chicken strips, Mac n cheese and red snapper sandwich. Everything was fresh, tasty and reasonably priced. The service was friendly and personal. We will definitely be back soon!!!

Still good stuff! A must try in Murphys! This time we tried the red snapper and Baja fish tacos; both delicious! The red snapper was herb crusted and served on a toasted dutch crunch roll with an amazing tomato sauce. The Baja tacos were made with sautéed fish rather than deep fried(always appreciated) and came with guac, sour cream, etc. on the side(again much appreciated, especially if you want to make your two tacos into four!). The prices are very fair; $ 9.95 for the fish sandwich and it is huge!(Anywhere downtown expect to pay at least $ 15 for something similar). Great food at fair prices, again, a must try!

Fresh! I had a BLT that was amazing! I loved the bread they used, it wasn’t a traditional white roll, it had a little umph to it. The fries were crisp and hot. it was love. The other two I was with enjoyed burgers that were just as fresh and tasty! Don’t let the simple look fool you, this is a quality place to stop and eat better than fast food. It’s very accessible, being right on the highway. The paintings inside are also fun to look at. Oh! And the young blonde cashier. what a doll! Such great customer service. All of the ingredients needed for me to reccomend and return!

Murphy’s has lots of good restaurants. Now it’s got another. Really great NY Steak with grilled veggies… if you paid twice as much you’d still think you got your money’s worth!

I’m not sure what to say about this place. Let’s start with the good aspects. 1. Great service. The owner was so friendly and accommodating. When we ordered up front, we asked for 2 scrambled eggs on the side for my 20 month old even though it was late in the afternoon. They were more than happy enough to help us. 2. Interesting menu and sandwich selections. Creative and different. 3. Large portion sizes including the kids cheese and bean burrito. This thing was huge. And the tortilla had been nicely browned on a flat top. Love it when places do that. Needless to say my son loved this. 4. Family friendly and casual — we love places where you can order up front. So much easier when you have young children! Now the misses. 1. In general, execution was sorely lacking in this food. My snapper sandwich sounded amazing and creative, but it ended up being way too bland and had way too much mayonnaise on it to be enjoyable. Bread was similar to a dutch crunch, but it seemed soggy. It did have a tomato relish on it that I enjoyed. If they had seasoned the fish a little bit more, removed the mayonnaise and added more of the relish, I think this could be a winner. 2. The real disappointment was with my husband’s sandwich. He ordered the homemade falafel. The falafel wasn’t even cooked. He couldn’t eat the sandwich and ended up eating half of mine(which he didn’t really enjoy due to the issues above). We were starving after hiking all day and ended up having to go out to eat again in a couple of hours to make up for this food. Since the service was so great, the kids food was decent and the place was family friendly, I am giving this place 3 stars. But it only just made it.

Don’t look for the hostess, you order at the counter and they’ll bring your food. The staff is super friendly — when my wife had a special request, even the cook poked his head out and made suggestions. Very casual dining and the food was surprisingly good! The Greek lemon chicken soup was fabulous, if a little heavy on the cream. Our 9-year-old had a teriyaki chicken kabob, which she devoured. It’s telling that it’s clearly designed for tourists, but lots of locals are regulars. Filling, well-made family food, perfect for fueling up before or after a trip to Big Trees or one of the area caverns. It also has a bar and a flat screen TV.

Stopped here on our way down the mt. on busy Labor day wkend. First let me say, this place is inviting. Love the road sign — easy to find. Ordered sliders — good, came with a lot of fries. Son ordered a sandwich with mac n’ cheese, which was just like Kraft, and that made him happy — it was a KIDS meal after all. Self serve drinks which made me happy because I never had to wait for a refill — and if you’ve ever been to the Arnold area, you know speedy service isn’t usually the norm. Salad bar looked fresh and will definitely try next time. Love the order window and self seating. For us, having a place that will serve you quickly and get you back on the road is a plus. Although, we could’ve hung out and enjoyed a beer, too. We sat outside and watched the traffic, it was great because there was a nice waterfall, and you’re far enough off Hiway 4 that you don’t get car exhaust. Staff super friendly. Can’t wait to bring the rest of my family and bring along our friends who also travel in that area. This would be a GREAT place for a large crowd to come. So many places in the area can’t handle the parties of 6+ and those parties get annoyed they can’t be seated quickly enough — here it’s not a problem. Love the décor, too. Great job!

We have ate at here once for breakfast and once for dinner. Breakfast was good, no complaints. When we ate for dinner, we were disappointed. Two kid meals were fine, fries were good. Husband ordered a sandwich which was a good size and a side order of mac-n-cheese which was truly Kraft box of macaroni cheese, he said it tasted exactly like the box cheap stuff. I ordered the Teriyaki chicken skewers, the chicken was fine, the veggie/pineapple skewers were not cooked long enough and had no flavor. The side of rice was just like mexican rice so threw off the whole dish. I will return for breakfast, but will think hard about returning for dinner.

Having not been in Murphys for a very long time and looking for a bite of late lunch I had remembered there was a Pizza place that was quite good but as it turned out was now the new Coyote Creek Grill. The outside was clean and inviting so my Lady and I went on in. It took a minute to figure out that you place your order at window and it would be delivered to a table of your choice. Apparently the noise level in the kitchen is rather high even for an almost empty place as we had to repeat the order several times before our gal got it right. I ordered the hot pastrami on a pretzel roll and my Lady went for 1/3lb burger and a couple of soft drinks. While wandering over toward the soda fountain my Lady noticed a beer taper proudly displaying that there was an IPA on draft so we stopped and inquired. Upon closer inspection the IPA tapper was a known local brand not really my favorite but what I didn’t know was that there was another IPA that didn’t have a tapper handle from a brewery somewhere in the San Diego area, I gave it a «go». Pleasant surprise! Another pleasant surprise was that our food order arrived hot quick and correct… well expect of the very nicely grilled onions on my Lady’s burger which she swears she didn’t order… no big deal I enjoyed them. The Coyote Creek Grill is very clean inside and out, the staff is friendly, the food is good and the Golden Barley Water was outstanding. All and all our visit to the Coyote was a pleasant experience and the next time we find ourselves in Murphys I have no doubt that we will be stopping there again.

FANTASTIC food, great service, friendly staff, and a good price. You can’t ask for more. But then I got more! It was across the parking lot from my hotel, which was a bonus. Go. Eat. Enjoy. You’ll be back for more.
