Such a GREAT place to eat, crab was amazing, steak was the best steak I’ve EVER had. You don’t even need sauces for it, nice and juicy! We had to wait for a table and not even 5 mins later the owner introduces himself and brought us over to the bar also showed us the patio. Loved the atmosphere, loved the way the owner interacted with everyone. Loved our waitress, loved everything! We will be back!

Nah. I can see how some may think this place is decent, but service was not up to par and not friendly. This is going off my first experience and this is a rating for just the Bar. I did not have any food as it did not appeal to me. I was also being served by management so I think that says a lot.

We dined in on Christmas Day with a party of 14. I gave the experience 2 stars for the service provided by our waiter he was great. I ordered the filet mignon MW the server asked if I wanted it butterfly and I said sure. Oh boy! When it came out I was so excited but as soon as I cut into it I noticed the steak was ruined it was completely overcooked and salty! I offered my husband a half of my steak and a couple minutes later noticed he had pushed it aside. I ended up taking bites of his ribeye steak which was cooked M but was absolutely delicious. My husband flagged down the waiter and he immediately took the dish back and they were going to re fire my order. Needless to say, I got my steak when everyone else was done so I didn’t get to enjoy it as I was rushing to finish it because we had plans afterwards. For having spent over $ 115 on our dinner(2 steak dinners and a kid meal) I would have MUCHRATHER gone to Fogo de Chao! Also, this establishments dinning area is so small. We had a party of 14 and right behind us was another large party of 10+ we were definitely snug in there. Uncomfortable with having high chairs and slings to move around. We won’t be back.

THE best steak I have EVER had! Best service, beat owners … Hands down THEBEST! I always get the 12 ounce ribeye Medium rare. Never need to season or need steak sauce. These people have it together ! Love that the owner has been there EVERYTIME we have been in and always checks on us… Last time the battened came out to talk to us. Even though we didn’t order drinks… Ya just can’t lose here…

Came on a cold and windy Saturday afternoon. The only other customers inside were a couple who were finishing their meal — not too odd at 2 or 3pm. I’m not sure about how service runs when the place is busy, but I will say that I had excellent service from a helpful young woman while I was there. I couldn’t decide between the calamari fries and the chicken philly sandwich, so I asked her which she’d recommend and she said she definitely preferred the sandwich. I took her suggestion and went with that one. While I waited for my food, she brought out a basket of 3 sweet rolls warm from the kitchen and a pat of butter, which is always a plus in my book! The wait wasn’t long by my standards, but a few minutes in my server came to apologize for the wait and explain that my food would be ready as soon as the cheese melted. I told her I wasn’t in any hurry, she didn’t need to be so anxious! The sandwich arrived open-faced, piled high with chicken, cheese, and jalapeños! There was actually so much that it was impossible to fit it all in when I folded the sandwich to eat it, so I pulled some chicken out and ate it separately. It came with a big pile of fries and a tin of ketchup and before I could even ask my server said«Would you like some ranch for your fries?» as if she read my mind! I said yes and she asked if I wanted regular ranch or their own jalapeño ranch — I got both! And they were both very good. The jalapeños they use are potent and fresh, so be prepared if you order something with them. Price is good, service is enthusiastic, décor is charming and country-themed. I’ll definitely come back, for lunch or to try dinner!

Service was amazing, food was was good. Since it was our first time in, the owner came over, introduced himself, then gave us a tour of a hidden bar and patio in the back. Huge TV and couches in the bar! Who knew?!? I always assumed it was just a restaurant. Expect to spend about $ 22 per person on the entrée, but worth it!

Excellent place to eat! Great food! I can honestly say that their sirloin was among, if not, THE, best steak I’ve ever eaten. The staff is incredibly friendly and their bartenders are great fun for a drink after work! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a date night, or just a place to sit and watch a game! 5 stars!

Visited the first time. Had an appetizer for my meal. I think it was called loaded steak fries. Had large cut country style potatoes cooked just crispy. Topped with shredded pot roast. Cheese. And a dollop of sour cream. Roasted jalapenos and chives. Very good and priced very fair.

It was my first time here. my experience was pretty amazing. Ms. R took very good care of us. The steaks are fresh… cooked exactly HOWYOUWANTIT!!! The food was tasteful and flavorful. I have been to other places that«specialize in steaks» those type of places have nothing on south fork. no frozen steaks here. Fresh fresh!!! Thanks again MsR…

They say that you don’t get the true picture of a restaurant until you have a problem and you see how they handle it. I had a problem the last time I came here, not the food at all, the steak was great. I was contacted by Cassidy, the General Manager, apologized profusely. My wife and I went back this past Saturday night and it could not have been better. Rebecca was our server and she was absolutely the best. The food could not have been any better. The steak was the perfect temperature and just the right fat to lean ratio. I have never had a better steak, even at those high-end restaurants that charge much more and sometimes you get a waiter with an attitude. South Fork will definitely be in our«eating out rotation.» We have some friends coming to town in a couple of weeks and after telling them about it, they are excited to go and have a great steak as well. I don’t think I have ever given a restaurant 5 stars but this one deserved it. I wish I could have gone with 6 stars.

This was an atrocious experience. I ordered a 16oz steak, and it was so tough that I had to spit part of it back into the napkin. It had hardly any flavor at all as well. The mashed potatoes I was presented with were a runny consistency with strange chunks in it… Like it was some kind of pre prepared frozen fare. Don’t expect decent service. The hostess when we walked in, she didn’t look up, she just said«sit wherever you like» and went back to being deep in her phone… Professionalism right there… Even the inside looks run down, the place has all the ambience of a poorly lit fast food joint… Avoid at all cost. Shoe leather steak Ugly inside Poorly staffed

My first time here. Got the chop steak and mashed potatoes off the lunch menu. Excellent food and service was fantastic. Reasonable prices. Can’t wait to try dinner.

I read some of the reviews before we had dinner here with friends. There were 6 of us. My original expectations were not set very high based on some reviews. After our meal here, I think«expectations» is the proper way to get the most out of this restaurant. If you are expecting a Ruth’s Chris experience with the South Fork prices, you will be disappointed. This is not a big city, top of the line, prime quality type of restaurant. For that, drive over to Dallas and go to one of those steak houses. In my opinion, this is a very good, local, inexpensive, nice quality restaurant. The place is clean. The wait staff are friendly and efficient and they did a great job for our table. Our food was very good. Not great, but good value for the price. Three of the six of us had the Mahi Mahi and we were all happy. I think it was $ 18 on the menu. I had some the other night in Trinity Village and it was $ 34 and it was wonderful. The South Fork Mahi Mahi was not as great as the other but it was almost half the price. One of us had a Ribeye steak and he said it had excellent taste. It was on the thin side, but lots of flavor. So, with the proper expectations, this can be a wonderful local find. My wife and I agreed that we would like to go back and try some other menu items.

Went for the Mother’s Day Brunch buffet. The service was excellent. The food was excellent! There was a little spice in the Southern Pasta salad. The beef was perfect! the étouffée tasted as if it was flown straight in from Louisiana fresh! The noise level from all the families was not too bad. The place is small, but cozy. I highly recommend this establishment!

Friendly service and quiet atmosphere. The crab cakes were decent, but that was the best part of the night. I got the steak, which had absolutely no flavor at all. The steak was tender, but not worth the money. A $ 23 steak should be much much better than this. I’ve had much better steak for half that price. I will not be going back to this place.

Went here recently when my wife’s dad was in town. We went on a Wednesday and they do the all you can eat prime rib there. I’m not a huge prime rib person so I ended up ordering a 14oz ribeye. My wife and her dad got the prime rib. Our boys ordered chicken tenders and chopped steak. For my side I got the truffle mac and cheese which was really excellent. My steak was good but I wasn’t blown away by it. The prime rib was excellent and I had to grab a bite only because the crust was a nice cracked pepper that was really yummy looking. Tasted excellent as well. Staff was very attentive and overall a good place to go to.

Everything we’ve had here has been good. The staff is efficient and attentive and I appreciate how everyone is greeted as they come in. The manager is the type that stops by and asks how things are and actually cares about your response. Try something that needs ketchup and ask for their house made ketchup. Awesome. Wylie/Murphy has needed someplace like this and here it is. The atmosphere is casual and… if you come in through the front, don’t forget to check out the back. It’s easy to miss but it’s where the real casual seating is with leather chairs and sofas and stool high tables.

I was Very worried about eating here b/c of some of the reviews. I was mostly worried about the filet but it was pretty good. The quality isn’t what I was expecting. It was cooked just as I ordered it. In my opinion it is pricey considering the quality. I was a little disappointed not to be able to get a blue cheese steak topping but it was good regardless. The truffle Mac and cheese was yummy! I don’t care for heavily anchovy Caesar dressing and my waiter happily brought be a house salad. I was expecting a more seasoned staff but everyone was very polite and friendly. The décor could use improvement and some cohesiveness. The regular crowd was interesting from biker outfits(although no motorcycles) and tennis skirt ladies and their kids.
