Summerlake Apartments

People don’t be fooled with little paint outside on buildings from green to brown and make you all comfy, that’s to throw you off. not worth the money, you will freeze your A$$ off in the winter with your heat and fireplace working, and summer your ac will be on constant, plus you have to put plastic on all the windows and/​or towels by windows, air drafts everywhere, huge gaps above doors and forget about open the window in those summer nights to get some air inside, holes in screens, some windows that have good screens you cant open cause you will need a hydro jack to raise it up, fridge is broke, cant use top shelf for years drop eggs on floor constant and other items reported everything to them and still not fix, ac leaks in bathroom 3x or more, maint turn around is high, had flood once inside roof leaking, damage all my stuff, then they raise rent up year after year, and the manage that runs it, should not be in that role and as attitude with customers/​tennats she treats everyone like a dog. thinks your sht don’t stink. wish i can give this place a minus stars rating but unfortnatley i cant.

This was our first apartment when moving into the area. We had a lot of problems with our neighbors smoking outside our door. Their smoke (and the smell) was seeping into our apartment. We requested that management come out and seal our windows and doors better, but this never happened. Once we came home from running errands, to find those same downstairs neighbors grilling in the yard. They had pulled the grill only about 3 feet from under our balcony and windows, so when we entered our living room, our whole unit was filled with thick BBQ smoke. We had three small pet birds that had unfortunately dropped dead from the inhalation. I was livid, and requested management once again to seal our unit better, but it never happened.
The neighbors eventually left, but we could not justify the annual increase in the rent. First year renters were paying sometimes $ 100 less for the exact same small unit with dirty carpets and a brown recluse problem. These apartments are in no way shape or form worth $ 800-​$ 1000. The floor model looks very nice, but that’s what suckered us in as well.
