Old Chicago

We sat outside with our party for dinner. Rene came by and said she would be our server and brought out water with lemon for all. As Rene set them down three other guest walked across the parking lot that she seem to know well. As they got closer Rene yelled out she had a table ready for them. They sat one table over from our party and garnered Rene’s undivided attention for just over eleven minutes. They discussed everything except an order. Only when we got up to leave did Rene stop discussing hair cuts and RUSH to our table. After explaining we had been patient enough and we would walk to the next restaurant she blurted out she would get her manager to apologize. Not quite sure why the manager had to apologize but ok. After a few minutes, waiting outside, I walked in to speak to the manager. The floor manager Garrett had to be called on the radio. He apparently had not been told of the situation.
Garrett seemed bothered not by the poor service or that Rene had not informed but by the fact he was now being put in an awkward situation. He did eventually apologize for the service and ask what it would take for us to stay…
We went to the restaurant next door and received exemplary service and a had a wonderful dinner.
Shame on Rene for such poor service and being less than truthful.
Rene’s missed tip amounted to $ 58.00.

We love this location! The rewards program is awesome and there is an amazing bar. We love the Chicago style pizza. Salads are ok but we stick to pizza here and we are always happy. This location is much better than the Franklin location.

Pizza, salads, and appetizers are pretty good. Haven’t tried much else yet…
Deep dish in my opinion is the better choice of crust…

My best friend and I visited this restaurant two days ago, Blake was our server. Blake was a gem and we give him an overload of KUDOS!!! He checked on us often, but he wasn’t a nuisance, assuring our food and drinks were satisfactory, as well as, topping them off. During our visit, Blake became extremely busy, running all over that restaurant, still, he made his way over to us. The food wasn’t the best, my fish was very hard and my fries too salty. We’ll definitely visit again and hope to have Blake as our server.

This place isn’t too bad. Being from Illinois, we have Old Chicago restaurants all over the place, so I had been to one of the locations in my hometown before. But my desire for deep dish pizza, and the lack of locations in middle TN that have it, brought my fiancé and I here one weekend afternoon. (Side note: if you’re in the Nashville area and can get downtown, go to 312 Pizza Company in the Germantown area of Nashville for the best deep dish I’ve found in middle TN.)
For being a chain, the pizza isn’t too bad. A-​OK, just like 3 stars would describe it. Service was fairly good as well. Waitress checked in often but wasn’t hovering. They have some good drink specials here, so always ask what’s available because it can save you a decent amount of money. I think the day we went they had 2 for 1 draft beer so not bad at all. If you’re looking for decent pizza at a decent price, then this will satisfy. But don’t expect anything super spectacular.

For what it is I think it’s great. The pizza bites are great and Thai pizza is good as well if youngest something different.

A friend of mine got married in Murfreesboro this past weekend, so we stayed for a few days. We ate at Old Chicago on Saturday night, and it was delicious. We saw that they had a special on Bloody Mary’s on Sundays for $ 2.99, so of course we had to return. We ordered 4 Bloody Mary’s in total, as well as some of their jalapeño cheddar pretzel bites (which were DELICIOUS), some boneless wings, and a veggie plate. Everything was great. When we got the bill, we realized they had not applied the discount on our drinks, so we informed our waitress. There was some confusion on her part, so she grabbed the manager. The manager was SO kind and apologetic, and without us being angry or asking her to, she removed all of the drinks from the bill completely. Talk about a shock! (I really think my jaw dropped when she told us she had done this). The waitress came back afterwards and was very apologetic, informing us she had just pressed the wrong button on the computer, an honest and simple mistake. Needless to say, we were very happy customers. Not just because we received something for free, but because of the delicious food, the extensive and tasty drink menu, and the incredible customer service. If we are ever back in Murfreesboro, we will most definitely return to dine here!

I will never come back to Old Chicago, My Boneless chicken strips were hard as a rock & dry on the inside, my server rarely checked on me & my husband, his pizza was over cooked! didn’t have time to send it back because it took her 15 mins to get back to our table… (WE WERE HUNGRY) I ordered a Margarita that you could compare to a can of sprite with lime juice, when I told the waitress she went to fetch me a new one, the second «Margarita» was another disaster, Im not the type to complain but i was so angry that it caused me to write my first Unilocal review, I asked her to bring the manager to my table, after explaining the problems and mentioning I’m actually a bartender myself he went to make me a Margarita himself and when he brought it back it was perfect, they charged me $ 19 for two tiny Margaritas that were over filled with so much ice to the top and got away with ripping me off paying for crappy food & drinks! I just went there to have a good time and it ruined our night.
Aside from all of this we over heard the wait staff arguing with each other, one girl was criticizing another and the other was talking out loud about how she hated working there because they treat new staff like idiots and the managers are just as mouthy because when we first walked in as we were waiting to be seated two managers were talking about something involving a bit of bad language, very unprofessional that whole place needs to get in order.

The service here was TERRIBLE! I ordered a pizza to go. They asked for what car I was driving so they could even bring it out. I waited for 5 minutes and still nobody came out. When I went in, the two young ladies at the hostess desk were completely oblivious. I waited for another 5 minutes before I could get my pizza. No apologies for the length of time I had to wait whatsoever.

Great atmosphere, open very late and extremely affordable! Food was good and appetizers were awesome! Especially at happy hour price

This place is amazing! The only downside… we sat outside to enjoy some fresh air… but the air wasn’t so fresh… the table right beside us were smoking the entire time, so I wouldn’t suggest the patio, unless you don’t mind second hand smoke with your pizza.

Yummy. Yummy. Oh, heck y’all. Finally an amazing deep dish pie of cheesy goodness. Perfectly hot with a great crispy crust. Totally memorable. Too bad they are so far from home.
My only issue… they don’t have the good ranch dressing for dipping. I repeat, bring your own ranch!

Nice chain. Not great, but interesting taps and solid food. Bonus points for local taps.

Nice little Lunch buffet for $ 8.00. Lucas had a great personality as server!

Worst playlist ever. They literally just played Wheels on the Bus (and its 10:30p on a Saturday).

Football season specials are pretty good. Discounts on beer and some of the appetizers. I recently learned about the Pretzel… Super yummy!
For the pizza, I prefer the thin crust these days. The Double Deckaroni is about my fave. The Mrs. like the all meats pizza. Everyone loves the pepperoni rolls. The wings are pretty good too!

Had lunch for the first time here. I wanted to try it out because I love Chicago deep dish. Well they don’t have a genuine deep dish on the menu but they do make one. I decided to have the pizza bar to get a good sampling instead. It was decent but not impressive.
What was impressive was my waitress. She brought me a hand written paper about the traditional deep dish including options and prices. Very impressive service.
Bottom line, I can’t understand why a Chicago pizza place wouldn’t have a true deep dish on the menu. I would give this place a mediocre two stars but Amanda, my waitress was so good, it gets four.

If this is what they call «Chicago Style» pizza, I’m not a fan. The waiter straight up lied to my wife about what came on her food, when she specifically asked for the info. The man barely came to our table, never gave either of us a refill, until I specifically asked him to, when we were done eating. He was constantly chit chatting with other employees, and stopped to watch football on tv.
After asking for the check, he came back with it folded up, gave us a speech about how he saw the crud my wife pulled from her plate, said he talked to his manager about it, said thwy just got a new menu, and then apologized. It seemed like he was going to discount us for the awful service, but he didn’t.
His name was Chris.
The food wasn’t that good, it wasn’t awful, but I have certainly had much better. Apparently, according to our waiter, many of the items are premade, which is why he said we cant get many things cutomized to our liking, such as asking for no peppers. The prices are quite high, too. The bad service just helped solidify our never coming back.
I just can not recommend it, when there are other, better places, nearby, such as Chedder’s, or Toot’s!

I’m torn between a 3 star vs 4 star review. When are you coming? Lunch? Eh… They have an all you can eat pizza buffet. Monday night? Mmmm …
On Monday nights they have one of the best beer deals in Murfreesboro. Last time I was there I believe it was 99 cents for any 7oz draft, and they had a nice selection. Any other night, its a fancy sitdown pizza joint with an expensive menu.

I was very disappointed in our past two visits. The food has been UNDER PAR… Not sure if it’s new owners or what, definitely a new menu.
I will give them another chance
