Los Amigos Mexican

So, this is a family owned eatery, and the family is SO great! We were super excited when this place finally opened up since we have to drive 20 or more minutes in any direction to get to our next closest Mexican eatery! Each day they have one daily special at a reduced price, and typically have a dessert special as well most days… which is nice for those on a budget!
The place is really family friendly, and if you have a big group or kids with, you can sit back and relax without any fear of annoying other patrons or the staff who actually are the owners and work alongside of their older children :)
And though the family feel is great (and so is the family), the freshness is lacking a bit and has been for a while now. When it first opened up some years back, the food was better, and we are really hoping they will bump it up soon by discontinuing the use of canned items (especially the canned mushrooms… ick) and go with a little more fresh so as to delight the pallet with some great savory long awaited comfort Mexican food that I am actually craving this very moment!
