We found a Culver’s restaurant in Wisconsin on a trip to the Upper Midwest. It was a delightful experience and pure luck. As a result of having to stop quickly for a rest room on a long trip, I found a place that serves real frozen custard. I also discovered a very clean restaurant with clean rest rooms and decided to see if the custard was as good as the signs claimed it would be. I grew up in an area with many dairy farms and worked on one of the farms. Fresh milk, fresh cream, real butter and using real dairy products was a passion and an economic benefit to the area. In this small Vermont town, there was a small shop that sold frozen custard. I loved eating the real frozen custard. Over time, I forgot about how the real dairy product tasted. Other places sell«frozen custard» but I forgot about how rich, creamy and thick the real product tasted – until discovering Culver’s. The chain has migrated South. There is now a Culver’s in Murfreesboro, TN and I recently found one in Navarre Beach, Florida. There are apparently now a number of locations in South Florida. Their frozen custard, both chocolate and vanilla, brought back memories of being a kid and enjoying frozen custard that is thick, creamy and made from real dairy products. The company describes the product as «luscious and rich» and it is that. It melts fast so I usually get it in a cup. It tastes just as good as it does when served frozen. If memory serves me correctly, I did not bother with the cup as a young boy; I just tried to eat the large cone quickly to avoid, without much success, having it drip on my clothes. I cannot speak to the quality of the other food products. I have never gotten past the frozen custard.

I’ve heard so many great things about Culver’s. Decided to try it out with the family. I had the Pub Burger and fries, an order of cheese curds, and a drink. The Burger was nothing special. Quite greasy, even for fast food. The fries were, well, fries. The cheese curds were pretty good. Not worth $ 4 though. Closed the meal with a milkshake. The ice cream was great. The highlight of the meal. All in all, it was okay. Far too overpriced for the quality and quantity. Maybe I’ll go back. M’eh.

Awesome location. Our team stopped by this location on our way back to Memphis after a baseball game. Most of our guys had never been here including me. The food was cooked correctly and tasted amazing. The staff was very accommodating and very efficient in getting our orders out quickly and keeping track of them. I had a great first experience!

The food here is very good most of the time. The service can be lacking sometimes. I sat waiting for my food one time while the staff hit on some girl.(Thats kinda par for fast food with young kids working it) all and all this is a great place to get a fresh burger that looks like the picture. Unlike some places we all know of. The custard is very good as well. They cost a little more then your average fast food place but not by much and fir what you get its worth it.

The food was pretty good-I had the fish sandwich and instead of fries I substituted the side salad. Prices were pretty high though at over $ 7 before tax for this with drink. I guess the kids meals were good values though as they even included the frozen custard. My kids liked their meals. I wish we had one of these in Chattanooga for the custard alone.

We didn’t try their famous burgers or custard, but we got the fish sandwich basket and the tuna sourdough basket. The tuna sourdough was better than the fish sandwich that had shredded cheese on it… Weird. The fries were decent. Nothing spectacular. $ 18 for two mediocre«fast food» meals, we probably won’t go back.

Ate here once and was not impressed. Food was fair at best. Seemed expensive for just fast food. Thought I was going to have a heart attack after eating the fried food.

First, I must say that I love Culvers, it’s probably my favorite fast food, burger joint. I usually eat at the one in Franklin, nearly ever Sunday at lunch. I’m normally not in the Murfressboro area, but I saw Culvers & though«Yum.» I pulled into the drive thru and ordered a short, raspberry concrete mixer & a small fry. I was hungry, but not starving, so I didn’t order a burger. I pulled around & was greeted by a girl named«Emily.» She wasn’t very friendly & gave me my concrete mixer & told me to have a good day & shut the window. I figured that she’d made an oversight in my order, so I waited for her to come back. She opened the window & looked perplexed that I was still there. I told her I was waiting on a small fry & she said ok, turned around & intercepted a guy with a bag that was about to walk outside & gave it to me. It was all very rushed & I asked for salt & she didn’t seem happy to give me salt. I pulled off & ate a little of the concrete mixer. It was okay, not great. The custard tasted as if it had been made the day before & was frozen & crystallized. I reached for the bag opened it to find a single hamburger with onions, tomato, & mustard, everything I hate. I was too far to turn around, so I just threw it away. If you live in the Nashville area, you’ll take the time & go to the Culvers in Franklin, not this one.

Overpriced. Overpriced. Overpriced. $ 19.00 for 2 combo meals and was missing parts of order. Staff seemed confused and untrained, I had to ask them to take my payment after they gave me the food and said«thank you» — Seriously??? I sent a email to company explaining bad experience, never got a reply. I will never go back.

I’ll admit it. I’ll join a support group if I have to. I’ll even stand up and tell everyone around me, if that will help: I am a sucker for a butter burger. I’ve been to Culver’s restaurants in Franklin and in Bowling Green, KY, and they are really darn good. Good bun, tender juicy meat, good cheese. Delicious. Their root beer is pretty darn good too. Now I am not a huge fan of their fries, and I care nothing for their cheese curd. Their custard is nothing special, either. So that leaves me with one delicious cheeseburger. Vegans will beg meat to take them back if they try this. Heart attacks are welcome with one of these in hand. I want to buried with one if I die in the next fifty years. Most of the rest of the stuff is extremely mediocre, but I’ll fight anyone who has anyone bad to say about the burgers.

Their butter burger and frozen custard are really good. The meat tastes real good and they cooked it well and joicy. Frozen custard is creamy, gentle, and not too sweet. The price is not as expensive as I thought. I rather bacon butter burger and frozen custard(and a cup of water) here that the the combo burger set from Burger King, which they are about the same price!

Wasn’t really impressed with this place. Burgers are ok but nothin really special. Think Red Robin out does them easily. I ate here only once last week and it made my stomach hurt sooooo bad. Will not be returning ever.

I stopped in here today after a meeting at the Embassy Convention Center for a quick lunch I could eat on the interstate drive back to Franklin. I’ve been on a diet for three months now doing really well, and I managed to avoid the plethora of chocolate at my meeting, and managed to not order the«Butterburger»(OK, I’m curious. but my arteries simply will not allow that) or any of the frozen custards this place is evidently known for. I was a good girl, and ordered a Grilled Chicken sandiwch and a Diet Coke and was quite ready to remain on the plan. Then I saw a menu listing for«Wisconsin Cheese Curds.» OK, I don’t know about you. But fried cheese — that’s a weakness. I could agree with my doctor that it’s not technically a carb since it is cheese, not potato, fried — but I knew better and ordered it anyway. The chicken sandwich was fine. kind of nice that it was presented on a hoagie roll for a little change of pace.(I do realize that’s bread, but I’m sorry, you cannot eat and drive… which I had to do today… and not be eating a sandwich). The cheese curds were so yummy. They range in size from teeny tiny droplets of warm gooey yumminess to larger bites that will still be hotter than you think when you crunch down. I didn’t use a dipping sauce at all, and they were awesome. I gave up 670 calories for those things(they do have all their nutrition on their website), which for me is huge… but sometimes you’ve just got to. The wait for a standard fast food was a little slower than expected, but the total bill was also a little less than expected. $ 8.00 I think for a chicken sandwich, upgrade to the cheese curds, and a diet pepsi. My only recommendation if you repeat my order is realize the grilled chicken sandwich does not have any condiments on the bread, you might ask for a side of whatever you wish to spread on it. I’m sure I’ll be back.

You just about can not beat Culver’s when you are in the mood for a good fast food burger. Be sure to try one of their concrete mixers for dessert!

For the longest time I wasn’t sure what this place served, as it’s not listed on the signage outside, and we weren’t familiar with the chain. It is Dairy-Queen type food, but done at a MUCH higher level of freshness and quality. We love the«Butterburger,» always made fresh and delivered to your table within 5 minutes or less. They also have a drive-through if you’re in a hurry. This is a very kid-friendly place, one of the few places in town we can take our 2 year old and feel comfortable if she’s a little noisy. They even have free disposable bibs — something any Mom can appreciate. Also, the frozen custard is awesome!

Nothing special. I spent $ 8.88 on mediocre chicken tenders. It looks just like a Dairy Queen.

Being from the Midwest, I was excited to see Culver’s come to middle TN. And I expected the same great taste I had around the Midwest such as the Culver’s in and around Wisconsin and Illinois. However, I was sort of disappointed. I just had Culver’s in Chicago about 3 weeks ago, and that was a mouth-watering(or as my friend says a «mouter-ing») burger, juicy with flavor and butter, and fresh Wisconsin cheese with crisp, fresh vegetables. I felt like something was missing or didn’t taste as well as the Midwest. I also overheard a conversation nearby that some guy was disappointed about the burger not being as great as the North. I haven’t tried the custards to see if tasted the same. But I feel like with a lot of chains that originated from the North, it never seems to taste the same(e.g. White Castle). If you’re from the Midwest, and you’re craving some Culver’s don’t have high expectations coming here and don’t expect it to taste the same as the Midwest. It still tastes good and Culver’s still remains as my favorite burger fast food joint. And if you’re new to Culver’s, try it out. In my opinion Culver’s has better [butter] burgers than Five Guys.

Culvers is renowned for fresh meat burgers. Culvers and popeyes in the boro, what is the world coming to? Custard is good, strawberry concrete shake I usually upgrade my side to the onion rings. They serve home cooked items like fried chicken, but a deluxe burger is my usual.

Good burger made from all fresh, never frozen ingredients. Finally made it here and was not disappointed. They have a large variety of items that caught my eye but I stuck with the basic Butterburger to see what that was about. I also had to try the Cheese Curds because they sounded different. They are basically deep fried cheese. Service was friendly, prices were reasonable, and the restaurant was clean. That is a lot of expectations that were met. When you order, they give you a number and they bring the food out to you when it is ready. Another note, the parking lot is tight, especially during the lunch rush. I will have to try some of the other items. The Shaved Beef sandwich caught my eye and the frozen custard that you can customize with 15 different toppings(a la Cold Stone, on a smaller scale!) was also calling my name.

I’m thrilled that a Culver’s has finally opened in the Nashville area. A «Butterburger» sounds a bit strange, but its the bun that is buttered. You aren’t eating an actual burger of butter. The place is at its core a burger joint, but they have more dinner oriented meals too. I’m a big fan of the Wisconsin Cheese Curds too. They sound disgusting, but they are amazingly good. They also have a selection of Soft Serve Ice Cream and various ice cream treats. This location did not disappoint. It was very busy, but there was still plenty of room. A storm came through while we were there and they were very friendly to let everyone stay in the restaurant. I’m glad its a bit of a distance from me or I’d be back far too much for my waistline!
