This is the second time we’ve bought a house with a listing agent from Snow and Wall. The first time was pretty rough, but this second has convinced me that there is no house nice enough to make it worth buying from them. My first warning should have been when the listing agent became irate with our requests for repairs under the home inspection(I’ll be fair here, the message was relayed through our realtor, so something could have been lost in translation). But yeah, that should have been the moment I walked away. The real issue with this agent is when the sellers pulled out of the driveway and left a huge pile of trash behind. We were assured this would be taken care of. After two days of this trash sitting there I finally called the listing agent directly. Please note that this was my only communication direct to her at this point. She was pretty short with me on the phone, but assured me the trash would be taken care of. The next day the listing agent came by and loaded some of the trash, pointing out to me that it was going in her Mercedes. Look, not my trash, I don’t care what it’s going in. A large box of trash and an old mattress she hauled to the road and assured me that the trash service would pick it up. When I expressed doubts at this she explained to me how trash service work. Now, since I actually knew how trash service worked I asked what to do if they DIDN’T pick up the mattress and box. «Call me,» she said. Well, Monday rolled around and sure enough the trash service didn’t take the mattress and box. So I did what I was told and called the agent. She did not answer, but did call our realtor and demand to know why we were calling and harassing her about the trash. You know, because she told us to. We also have very strong indications that the sellers lied on the property disclosure, but I guess it’s kind of hard to lay that at the feet of the realtor. What we can lay at the feet of realtor are lies, rudeness, and overall difficulty of working with.
