Came with my husband and 2 year old daughter! The sushi was always fresh and kept stocked. My daughter gobbled up everything that we out inn front of her. The food was hit and miss, somethings had amazing flavor, others not so much. Overall it’s a good dining place and you get a lot of options for the price you pay!

I remember when Chef Wang’s was very popular and was extremely busy. The last couple of years they went downhill but to my surprise they have picked up the last two times I’ve come to visit. We came in Saturday night around 7pm and there wasn’t a wait and the crowd was pretty busy. They just put out fresh sushi out which I love. If you’re not a fan of the buffet then you can get hibachi. They had crab legs as well and they always go out so fast. It’s pretty pricy during dinner on the weekends but I can understand because of the seafood. They also have steak cut up, mussels, clam stir fry, fried shrimp, and crawfish. There are many options for the kids as well. The place needs to be renovated, but they food is good.

If this your first choice… keep googling unless you like crab legs… that’s all my family ended up eating… not because the lack of quantity of food choices… but all the food on a Thursday night tasted as it was reheated after days of life… Sushi? Lots of good looking stuff… actually tasted pretty good but even still tasted stale… They have infinite crab legs and they keep em out and fool… If you want unlimited tasty crab legs for a price of 15.95 this your place… Otherwise? Don’t waste your time

Lunch buffet with 99 cents beer, can’t buy blue moon for this price anywhere. Great food, very nice staff.

They have a great variety of food, but every time I go there I leave wondering why I came back. The quality of the food is just average. If you happen to go during dinner, prepare yourself for a hefty bill. Two buffets, a water and a diet coke was $ 37.00 before tip. If you happen to be in the mood for crab legs then plan on bringing a mêlée weapon. They don’t put nearly enough out for the amount of customers, so getting a leg or two is like winning the lottery. Cleanliness could also be better. I think the next time I am in the mood for mediocre Chinese food, I’ll go somewhere that doesn’t charge nearly as much for it.

This was my first stop after I arrived in Murfreesboro, and I was craving Chinese! This is your average Chinese buffet in my opinion. They do have crab for dinner, but it’s always gone unless you wait a good amount of time(there’s a line). They also have decent sushi and a Mongolian grill, which is becoming more and more common in Chinese buffets. Anyways, I didn’t have any crab, but I feel that the availability of crab makes for the premium dinner price which was around $ 20. That’s certainly an expensive buffet, and I don’t think it’s worth it given the lack of readily available crab. I don’t know if there are other Chinese buffets in the area, but don’t expect anything too extra ordinary here. I will say that the lunch buffet is a much better deal than dinner.

$ 16 for dinner and all I got was frozen rice, a terribly rude waitress and food poisoning.

We had to stop eating at Chef Wang’s. Food went downhill and we ended up getting sick one day. I paid very close attention to food protection and was not happy. Doubt we will ever go back.

Murfreesboro staple for sure. I’ve always ever only gotten the buffet, not single-off meals. The buffet has something for everyone. There’s four of them for goodness sake. It’s definitely not«gourmet» Asian food, by any means, but it is adequate — bar good, if that’s what you’re seeking. Ice cream machine also on tap after you’ve had your fill of all you can eat buffet. Just don’t go on seafood night or risk spending over $ 20 a person for the buffet. Did that mistake once, won’t do it again. Regular buffet prices usually around $ 12.

This is our favorite Chinese restaurant. We went for Christmas dinner and got to watch«The Christmas Story» while we ate our meal. :) The variety of food is awesome. 4 different bars of very fresh food, sushi, and a hibachi bar. The hibachi is DELICIOUS. I love this place! The only think I would change is the cleanliness of the bathrooms today. I haven’t noticed this problem before, but today… not good. I’m sure it was just«one of those days,» because normally they are very clean. Delicious food!

It’s an ok place for cheap food. It’s a standard Chinese Restaurant. You have the plethora of food choices, the cheap furniture, and the standard college student waiter. What really is disappointing about this spot is the quality of the food. Everything about the place cries out meh. So pretty much, there’s nothing spectacular in the execution of the dishes. I’ve had the following:, sweet& sour, lo mein, and even the hibachi. The hibachi is just a guy standing there. He wasn’t dressed the part. I really wanted my hibachi guy to have a colourful coat and a cheffy hat. Maybe I’m just asking too much.

We gave it another try since we heard they were good again. We were very disappointed with the quality of the food and the price for a dinner buffet is extremely high. This will be our last trip to Chef Wangs.

This place is nothing of what it used to be… Food quality is horrible compared to what it used to be. Customer service ok wouldn’t be surprised to see it go out of bussiness people don’t go like they used 2

Chef Wang’s has been a staple in Murfreesboro for quite some time now. It was better when it first opened, had a few rough years but this visit was better than the last few. Typical Chinese buffet fare, plus hibachi(which is better than most I will admit) and a good selection of sushi. I will say that there’s not much variety if you’re a fan of chicken, mainly just the usual General Tso plus chicken & veggies, no sesame chicken that I could see. Pricing is a little outrageous for dinner, in my opinion, but lunch pricing is average for a buffet. Service has never been the best but tonight our server Kelley was very attentive and prompt. Overall it was a better experience than my recent visit to Daily’s across town so I can see myself coming back to Chef Wang’s more often when in the mood for a buffet.

I can’t praise Chef Wang’s enough. The food is phenomenal! I’ve tried every type of chicken they serve and, to change it up a bit, I even tried their pizza & mozzarella sticks. Everything is hot and fresh. The servers are very friendly and attentive. I can’t get enough of this place! :-)

It’s a typical americanish Chinese buffet, but it’s better than a lot of them. I do like coming here for lunch. There’s a pretty wide variety of stuff and most of it is good, and they’re busy enough that the stuff in the buffet table stays pretty fresh. The hibachi is better than average, and I’ve never had a bad experience with the wait staff. I would have to say that this is the best Chinese buffet in Murfreesboro, not that there’s a ton of valid competition. Beware though, there’s a big price difference between lunch and dinner. I suppose it’s because at dinner they throw out some so-so seafood selections. Nothing amazing, and I’d definitely say it isn’t worth the price. You’ll pay as much for dinner for two here as you would for a much nicer meal elsewhere. I suppose it can’t be helped, as I’d imagine their dinner cost is quite high judging by the number of obese people you’ll see in there sucking down plate after plate of crab legs. It’s definitely a fantastic place to go for lunch though, and I’ve been doing so regularly ever since I moved to Murfreesboro. It’s worth noting that they give you a discount with an MTSU student ID.

I was in on last Thursday and placed 2 orders for Sweet & Sour Chicken. I threw up for 2 days because the food was so greasy. I called and spoke with the Manager which told me without a receipt there was nothing he would do for me. I asked for a refund. He was very rude and unprofessional. I will NEVER eat there again. Totally greasy & nasty not too mention managed by rude people !

Hey, it’s a buffet, what do you expect? If Im ever caving crab legs, this is the spot around dinner time if you’re in M’boro. Nothing fancy about this place and nothing bad. The air is a bit stale and the aroma of Chinese foods just sits in the air. Cheap beer, good two for one deals, though… alcohol doesn’t go too well with Chinese food.

For a generic buffet with hibachi, the hibachi is terrific. Rest of the food was mere blah, regular to not particularly edible. Plenty of room and very attentive service even on a Saturday night at 7 p.m. again, hibachi is worth the money if not anything else. Egg rolls were inedible, so was the dessert. They had some homestlye potatoes that were pretty good though.

I personally would never drive to Murfreesboro for a Chinese buffet, but if a friend is willing to pay for the gas, COUNTMEIN. As far as the quality of food goes, Chef Wangs is standard-to-good for a buffet, but the selection is where it they win. With a lot more food offerings than most buffets I’ve seen, there is also a lot of variety – different meats, seafood, veggie options, sushi, hibachi grill and a lot of dessert. The best part might be the drink specials, though. Happy hour starts at 3! And they are delicious. The last time I visited, they had just introduced a drink called Love Potion, which was a few different types of liquor with pineapple and cherry. They hadn’t quite figured out the portions yet, so it was STRONG and only $ 4(on special). I haven’t done it yet, but I’ve heard you can create your own drink and name it after yourself.
