The service was poorly organized. I found a large, long, black, hair in the chili, which they quickly changed while claiming it did not come from their staff. Well their staff had on flip-flops/open toe shoes without socks and filthy feet. I was confronted by one of the cooks who wanted to take me into the kitchen to show me that they had disposed of the offending chili. However, his heavy cigarette breath and nasty feet threw me aback and made me ill. I ended up not eating. I WOULDNEVEREVERRECOMMENDTHISVENUEFORANOTHERWEDDINGORAFFAIR.

I planned a wedding that took place at Carriage Lane Inn this past weekend. Victoria, the current owner(she’s owned it 2 ½ years), could not have been nicer to work with, and I was impressed by every aspect of this venue. Victoria is very friendly and works very hard to ensure all customers and guests are satisfied. I really loved working with her and hope another wedding or event occurs here so that I might have the pleasure of working with her again. The venue, about a half mile from the Murfreesboro square, is a Victorian house with several properties next to it including a cottage, bed & breakfast and VIP suite. The wedding took place in the garden, and while an outdoor December wedding is risky, we enjoyed beautiful 70 degree weather. Victoria had the arbor over which the bride and groom stood beautifully decorated with greenery, flowers and ribbon. We had seating for 90 with plenty of room remaining, so the capacity is larger than it looks upon first glance. We then moved into the ballroom for dinner and the reception. Each table had three beautiful crystal candle holders on them of varying sizes for a very classic, sophisticated look. I was also able to see the VIP suite, which is where the bride and groom stayed after the wedding. It’s equipped with a kitchenette, a large bedroom with king-sized bed under a canopy that should make one feel like royalty, an adjacent bathroom with jacuzzi tub and a sitting room. We also had excellent food both Friday night for our rehearsal dinner and Saturday for the reception provided by Carriage Lane. Friday night, we had a Mexican taco buffet with flavorful and tender shredded chicken, perfect guacamole, rice and black beans. On Saturday, the guests could choose between chicken in white wine sauce or pork loin, in addition to mashed potatoes and green beans. I did not try the chicken, but enjoyed the pork and vegetables. All of the food was lovely, and I now know why they were voted Best Caterer & Business Lunch in the area. I cannot say enough great things about my experience at Carriage Lane Inn!

Wedding at Carriage Lane was perfect. The location is ideal for a smaller wedding. My daughter had a garden wedding with a dinner in the ballroom. The food was delicious and everything decorated tasteful and beautiful.
