Avanti Nails Spa

I recently started coming to Avanti about 2 months ago. Avanti has a pretty standard nail shop setting, about 10 nail tech stations and 6 – 7 pedi stations. They offer complimentary drinks (wine, soda, water) and coupons if you receive multiple services. That’s about as good as this place gets. I go to them for gel acrylic nails and gel pedicures every 2 weeks. I’m not sure if they are using cheap products but at least once in between my fill ins and full set the my nail breaks splitting down the middle (ouch)! The tips never break which shows that it’s not due to me being rough on my hands. I recently got my nails done ($ 50 for a gel fill in) the very next day the nail broke in the middle and they proceeded to argue me down about it. Every time I come they are very rude and talk to customers in a matter of fact way … Except for one lady who is very friendly. One time a male nail tech was practicing acrylics on another technician while 2 customers were waiting. I was watching a video on my phone and my nail tech shouted «what are you doing» and informed the other nail techs next to me who assumed I was recording. Upon realization all they could say is «oh». Business has been slower every time and I can see why. Never returning!

This was my first visit to this salon. I had a shellac manicure. Though it was not my first shellac mani, it was my first in a while. When I walked in there was one other person waiting but only three nail technicians working. They kindly told me they had a fourth tech coming in and to have a seat at a booth. I waited about 20 minutes before I was offered a color reel to choose my color from and another 20 – 30 minutes for someone to offer warm water to soak my nails in. After about a hour total, the fourth tech showed up. Everyone was very nice and made conversation with me that wasn’t the typical «what do you do… Blah blah.» Even though I waited longer than I usually would, it was easy to be patient with them because they were so nice and it was obvious each person was working their tail off. If the best manicure I ever has was a 10 And the worst a 1, I would give this one a 7. Not my favorite, but may go back because of the sweet staff.

I’ve been going to Avanti for a while because they’ve been half way decent then they run coupons.
I won’t be going there anymore though. The last time I went the nail tech carelessly drew blood in two places. I’m lucky I didn’t get some weird infection.
When they advertised new management my daughter went back just out of convenience. Her nails started chipping after two days. I figure they must be diluting their polish.
We called and went over to have it fixed and were treated very rudely and told to wait. We just left and figured lesson learned.
