I just want to say that everything Chris L. said is true. They tried to do the exact same thing to me today. I do not like buying groupons because I have had nothing but bad experiences with them. My husband mistakenly purchased it. They said the oxidized metal was mold and when i told him I’m a Realtor and that it was not mold he changed his story. They also complained when they had to crawl under my deck to go in the crawl space. Isn’t that his job?! Then he said my crawl space was too crowded and they would have to do a much more in depth procedure which is B.S. Basically it is a scam and they should be shut down. Do not use them.

I am giving this company the lowest rating because this company is deceitful and will coerce you into purchasing services that are not necessary. The end result is that you spend a lot of money and there is no difference in the cleanliness of your home. I strongly encourage you to become familiar with air duct cleaning before you consider using this business. You can read about air duct cleaning scams on Angie’s List( ) and the National Air Duct Cleaners Association(NADCA)( ). When you setup an appointment with Premier Air Duct Cleaning, you will find out that they use the exact scam approach described on these sites to getting you to pay for treatment you don’t need — and your costs will go from $ 20 to over a thousand dollars. Some key points of my review: 1) The company website shows that they are accredited by the Better Business Bureau. This is not true. I contacted the BBB and they said that Premier is not accredited and there are complaints against them but an address is needed to file a complaint. The only address I could find was publicly posted on Angie’s List at 2) The company website shows that it is National Air Duct Cleaning Association(NADCA) certified. I contacted NADCA and they are not certified. There is no way to know that Premier Air Duct Cleaning is doing the work correctly or safely. Inappropriate cleaning practices can place you and your family at risk. 3) The end result is that your vents and house look and smell exactly the same after cleaning as they did before the cleaning. They do not remove the vents or clean around the vents. All they did was spray air into the vent using a small air compressor while running a shop vac at the other end of the duct. Personally, I don’t think they do anything except scare you and rip you off. 4) They comment on having positive Groupon reviews; however, these reviews are inflated by the company. The only good reviews come from Tommy R. who is the owner. They actually go onto sites and rate their own company. Groupon reviews for December show Tommy R on the advertisement: «Great service, great customer service, very informative. Will use again.» TOMMY R. 12⁄2015. The company inflates their own business on Groupon to make a claim that they get good reviews. If you look at other sites, you can see that they are all one star reviews that highlight the company as a scam. Check out the Yellow pages reviews: You can see more reviews for their services on Unilocal(all one star) My experience: I purchased the Groupon for $ 20 with the hopes that cleaning the vents and air ducts would make our home smell great. Our home is not old and we have no issues with mold or mildew anywhere. We have our home HVAC and system checked by a reputable and certified company. We later learned that they clean air vents and have a much lower cost than Premier but the company didn’t recommend a cleaning because they thought our vents looked fine. The Groupon purchase was an on the spot purchase made without proper research. The technican/owner(Tommy Ray) was very pushy. Within 5 minutes he told me that we had mold throughout our ventilation system based on some oxidized metal on the outside of our HVAC unit.(Please note that we have a reputable and certified company service our HVAC unit regularly and they confirmed before and after the Premier visit that we had no mold and no problems with our unit and ventilation system). Tommy called the oxidized metal mold. We informed him that our HVAC company disagreed and his response was that he was certified and had 10 years of experience and that spot was mold. Tommy told us that we needed to use Microban in our vents before they could clean it. He said that it was unsafe to clean unless we treated it and refused to clean the vents unless we paid to have the Microban applied first. This is not in alignment with the recommendations from NADCA( ) who say you need to clean before you treat: «What are antimicrobial chemicals and why would they need to be used? Antimicrobial chemicals are applied by some companies to the interior surface of the air ducts, to treat microbial contamination such as fungi(mold), viruses or bacteria. Before any antimicrobial chemicals are used, the system should be thoroughly cleaned. It is critical that any antimicrobial treatment used in your system be registered by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency specifically for use in HVAC systems. The use of antimicrobial chemicals is an additional service that is not part of a typical air duct cleaning project. I was told that I had two options: 1) pay for the Microban and have the sy

STAYAWAY! After the canceled the first 2 appointments within an hour of the scheduled time they finally showed up. They told me I had to pay an additional $ 100 for 2 ports(the scheduler had mentioned this on the phone so I was okay with this up-charge). Then I was told I needed some kind of fogger that was an additional $ 500. They would not do any cleaning until I paid them $ 600 plus tax for these two items. I asked them to leave. This is a scam. I wouldn’t use them again even if it were free. They charge $ 50 on top of the group on price to make a «port» in your AC system to clean it out with a shop vac. The port is a drill hole… They didn’t clean the returns or the registers. The guys were nice though.
