Worst customer service ever. I bought a drill press from Grizzly on line. When it arrived it had a guard on it that was not only not in the picture I saw, but no real woodworker could ever use this tool with this ridiculous thing attached. Unfortunately, if you remove the guard, you no longer have a depth stop. Who would ever want a drill press without a depth stop? I contacted the service dept. and they agreed that it was stupid and that they would send me the original depth stop collar that hey used before they added the guard. BUTTHEYMADEMEPAYFORTHEPART. The new part was such a cheap plastic ring that it snapped as I was installing it. I called customer service again and said I just wanted to return the drill press. I never even installed the chuck because the collar had to go on first. They said since it had been just over 30 days, I could not return it. Now I’m stuck with tool that won’t meet my needs.

I purchased a motor from grizzly industrial. It was damaged. Sent it back, and recieved another damaged motor. They claimed it was the shipping co. but the packing and box was not even dented. I told them I wouldn’t do business with them again because of the condition of the motors when I recieved them. They said customer service would contact me and see what they could do to help me. They never contacted me. A few months later I thought I would give them another chance, and ordered another motor from them, and they refused to sell to me. Great customer service. Go figure. I went and had my old motor repaired and saved a couple hundred dollars. Glad they didn’t want to do business with me.

If you do woodworking or metalworking and travel within an hour or so of this place, you owe yourself a visit. It’s an *enormous* showroom floor of every machine Grizzly Tools sells, from $ 75 bench grinders to $ 20k metal lathes. They had a scratch and dent where the prices were reasonably marked down. They were backordered on one item I would have liked, but offered to ship it to me; wound up just getting a different planer, as I wasn’t set on the first one. The back wall of router and shaper bits was pretty good; don’t think I’ve seen that many together in one place before.
