little personality, unfriendly to newcomers as far as gaming events go. Stock is great for magic but little else is going on here if you are in to other games.

I’m purely basing this review of my memories of coming here about every weekend for 2 years about 6 years ago when it was in a basement, it was the coolest thing I thought I ever saw, I played Mage Knights every weekend at this store, they had everything from trading cards to mini’s, it truly consumed my childhood, but now it’s out of it’s dungy basement and has matured to the street, that’s why it’s only 4 stars instead of 5, purely the atmosphere brought it down a notch, it feels like more of a main stream card shop instead of a local hideaway favorite.

Located in Ball State’s University Village area, The Keep is a standard gaming store w/a little of everything for everyone. They also carry open-stock minis if you need to find a certain monster for your next campaign & don’t want to buy a full kit, awesome t-shirts to prove your geek cred, & a large variety of dice. Much prefer the old location across the street that was painted like a dungeon & hidden under a bar. Way cooler & unique. Now it’s just another brightly lit dime-a-dozen shop. No personality.
