Been going here since they opened and have never reviewed! Truly the BEST breakfast I’ve ever had and possibly one of my favorite Latin American restaurants! It is not your standard burrito/taco place, expect MUCH better, different and most importantly flavorful! This place is a must visit even if passing through Mukwonago! Excellent in every way!

Always get the forest chicken, and love it, but decided to try something different. Went with the enchilada that is filled with either eggplant or chicken, with sauce, spinach, and goats cheese. delicious, even if I can’t remember the name.

Had such a nice dining experience here. I don’t normally find myself in Mukwonago, so I took the opportunity to check out their food scene while there for a doctor’s appt. Went around 11 am and was legitimately the only customer there which was great due to the attentive service and short wait. Wish I could be the only one in restaurants more often. I felt transported back to my volunteer abroad in Antigua, Guatemala with the ambiance, Spanish music and superb food. The waiter seated me in a prime booth next to the beautiful waterfall wall. Complimentary chips and salsa– chips came out warm, would have liked more salt. Salsa tasted like any other. Horchata– creamy, cinnamon-y goodness. Better than most I’ve tried Guava juice– I’ve taken a recent liking to guavas so was happy to see this on the menu. It was slightly creamy and bubbly with a subtle, natural guava flavor. Very refreshing. Roasted Egglplant soup– unlike anything I’ve really had. It wasn’t liquidy at all like soup. More like a really, really thick stew. Had big chunks of eggplant that still had a little crunch to it in a chile sauce. Looked like vomit, tasted delish. Tamales calientes w/side of guac– pork tamales topped w/pico, sour cream and cheese served over potatoes. Came served on a sizzling skillet. It was so hot that it fogged up my camera lens when I was trying to take a pic #foodieproblemz You have a choice between spicy verde or a milder red sauce. Went with the spicy which had a nice kick. The potatoes were seasoned well. The food is so fresh and flavorful. Was happy to have my own little Latin American oasis for lunch :)

I really love coming here! Great place for apps, drinks, and my dinner was great the one time I had a full meal. Service is a bit semi-unfriendly/slow, which is odd considering it’s hardly ever busy at all. I enjoy the atmosphere the best, very nice place to have a girls’ night out for drinks.

Great horchata, best authentic Mexican food I’ve had, and a very friendly and efficient waiter. Will come again.

Never a disappointment! Not your typical«Mexican restaurant» this place cooks up some fresh flavorful food at decent prices, although if you’re looking for giant portions this isn’t the place — think quality over qty. Service tends to be slow(waitresses not kitchen) consistently over past few years but food makes it worth the wait(typically for your drink during meal or the check)

Best food I’ve had in a long time! We came from Illinois and so glad we stopped here for lunch. We are Latino’s and didn’t expect good food but it was authentic and so flavorful!

We’ve been here for evening meals and found the food tasty and service good. Today I joined a friend for breakfast and it was very enjoyable. Wasn’t crowded as we arrived at 11:00, and our waiter was prompt and courteous. Food arrived quickly, and hot from the kitchen. Great choice of breakfast entrees and I’d do it again.

Third time NOT a charm. Our group of 8 went here on a Friday night. It was half empty in there yet they jammed us at s tiny table made for maybe 6 way in the back where we could see in the kitchen. The hostess said they’d get us another chair. They never came back with a chair or waitress! We had to get our own chair and waitress after 20 minutes of staff passing by us going into the kitchen– and literally lifting trays over our head. Once we grabbed our waitress– who was not supposed to be ours, she was great. However, food took easily half hour to get to us– I had fajitas– taste was fine but way too little food for 13.00. We stayed longer after eating to talk– at some point there was a horrible boiled egg or sulfur smell coming from the kitchen that forced us out. I gave this place three tries– they failed each time– no more chances

I was going to post a picture of our food, but it was too good to not eat it instantly. I would **HIGHLY** suggest the Pork Loin Al Pastor. It was a well presented dish that tasted up to its description. We also got the churro’s for desert(see the posted picture) and it was a very sugary sweet dish. We read the precedeing reviews about the quality of service, and we had NO problems at all. Quick refills of sodas and chips had us happy right off the bat. NO problems for us on a friday night.

Good food. Horrible service. Our server Morgandy did not check to see how our food was. our drinks were empty. She never came to ask if we wanted more drinks either. We had a groupon she did not want to Accept it. We asked to speak to manager. She said sure then came back 10 min later claiming the manager was too busy and she would do it. She set the checks down Without saying another word. Very Rude. We left her a .38 tip which was more than she deserved. I will not be back.

Our highest marks for the variety, uniqueness, and consistent quality of the food. One of our favorite ‘Mexican’ places in the greater Milwaukee area, and a monthly stop. Latin influences provide fun and delicious spins on expected offerings. Great ambience and attention to detail such as the warm frothed cream served with one of the best cups of coffee anywhere. Can’t decide, try the burrito rancheros.

Not sure how this establishment has 4 stars. Besides the salsa which was decent at best, the food was completly tasteless. My husband had the burrito which was small, drowned in sauce(and we like sauce) that had no flavor. I had the shrimp soup, which also lacked any taste. The shrimp were similar to the tiney shrimp that come in a can. One compliment I will give them is that it is nicely decorated…

super disappointed. They atmosphere is very pretty. We thought when we sat down and looked at the menu we were in for a treat… well we were wrong. Overpriced drinks, very bland food.

Real-ly terrific! Thanks to Unilocal for shedding light on my newest addition to my Mexican fave list. The initial attraction was a children’s Spanish cooking class. I’ve got to say for 40 min of free entertainment that captures and educates is a perk I’ve not found offered by others. Plus, I received 10% off my meal after the class. The food was good but lacked a few sides. My enchiladas didn’t come with sour cream. Ok, no big deal and I could’ve asked. But, isn’t sour cream standard? Still the food was worth the drive. And, they have an expansive coffee bar. I was extremely impressed with the service. I will say the most polite and attentive I’ve had in a long time. I’ll certainly be back sooner than later. Great experience.

Not bad, not good. The food was good. Service was SLOW. Kinda sad that at 10am I could only order breakfast here, but what did I expect? Waitress Morgandy was nice and helped us out and really did bring every little thing we asked for. Very nice waitress. The food did take a little time to come out, but it was good anyway. Would I come here again? Yes. Hopefully I will get to try the non breakfast menu though.

Was brought here by some local friends. I must say I was pleasantly surprised. We called ahead because we had a large group, and a table was waiting for us when we arrived. There is a good selection to choose from, and the selections include more regions than just Mexican. Our friends told us it was more of a «Latin» cuisine than Mexican. In addition to the other varieties of foods, there were even plantains as a possible side dish. They offered a lunch portion for each meal listed. My meal was very flavorful. I had a chimichanga, covered in a jalapeño cream sauce and chorizo, in addition to many other flavors. The grilled veggies were so fresh and tasty too… My daughter enjoyed her taquitos. My sons both had the Sopa de Camaron(Shrimp soup), and only the tomato lover really loved his soup. It was not particularly«soupy»… it had a LOT of chunks of tomatoes in lieu of the tomato-based soup. My youngest had the appetizer quesadillas, which were more than enough to suffice as a meal for him… add it to the soup, and he was unable to finish. My husband a dish with mole sauce, which included chocolate, cinnamon, and pumpkin flavors. He enjoyed it. The margaritas were good… not the best I’ve ever had, but still a pretty decent margarita. If I lived in the area, I would likely return to sample some more of the dishes.

Bought a deal online for Antigua Real because I’m always up for trying a new place. It was a Saturday night and it was not very crowded, made me a little leary. Inside we were greeted by a hostess and taken right to a table. The décor was pretty nice, really liked the waterfall wall. Booths are cozy and each one has a coat rack which is nice. Menu selection is adequate. Not a lot to choose from but enough to make a decision quickly. Our waitress could have used some skills in being a people person, she mumbled and would walk away before you could finish your sentence. Food came, it was hot. It was ok, just ok. I had fajitas, have had better at many other places. Hubby had a combo platter, everything tasted the same. Overall, it was somewhere new with a deal and we tried it. I wouldn’t say I would never go back but I would not make the drive to just go there. Food was ok, service was meh, ok, place was nice.

We stopped here after spending the day at Old World Wisconsin. I was a little hesitant to write a review because after spending five hours hiking, pond water and tree bark would have tasted good to me. ;-) However, hiking merely made us appreciate a good meal all the more — and we had a very nice meal here. Plus, service was very prompt and our server very knowledgeable about their menu and drink options. Speaking of drinks, they have New Glarus Spotted Cow on tap. It’s a favorite of my son and I’d never had it. It was delish! Finally, be sure to check out their extensive selection of specialty coffee drinks. It’s pretty exceptional, with a lot of easily comparable to what you’d find in a Starbucks. Plus, they have a couple of options that you would not find elsewhere — like«Café con Miel» — which is espresso, milk & honey.
