The Renewal Center

Update: I’m thrilled with my results from the Renewal Center. I’ve had e-​Matrix, Fractora and Ultherapy and am getting tons of compliments on my skin. An esthetician just told me my skin looks amazing, tight and «you don’t need anything else done». Although what can I say? Continual improvement is addictive. :)

I was introduced to the Renewal Center with a Botox Groupon and although it was a far trek from my home in Redmond, the reviews were strong so I decided to give it a shot. The staff is amazing, so sweet, welcoming and knowledgable. Very professional and clean environment. Dr. Olsson is really great about explaining everything and he promotes a very natural look which I appreciate. I didn’t experience the hard sell for other treatments like another review claims. I actually enjoyed the download of what they can offer and what I might be interested in. So, although I no longer can use a Groupon for this office because it’s for new patients only, I have been back to visit Dr. Olsson twice at regular price and I am very pleased. I would absolutely recommend the Renewal Center to anyone looking for a consistent and top notch botox treatments. BTW: I have never had any trouble reaching office staff by phone or through their online booking tool. They have always answered within two rings if it’s during normal business hours and are able to accommodate my schedule no problem.

Being at The Renewal Center is exactly what my face and body needed! I’m so thankful for Dr.Olsson. He is knowledgeable, warm and friendly. I never felt uncomfortable and had all my questions answered.
I’ve had Botox and filler done with Dr.Olsson. I love my results and completely trust him with my face. I look like a younger well rested version of me! He was so gentle with Botox. When we were done, I was so surprised and said, «That’s it?» They also numb for filler! It was painless.

Unfortunately, I trusted his aesthetician to wax my face, which was fine. But she also waxed my neck, which I did not request. Now I have hyper pigmentation on my neck. Apparently, the hair follicles on the neck are much deeper and shouldn’t be treated with wax, is what I learned from another medspa that is helping me with this unsightly result. I was hoping it would go away after a few weeks. I’m still dealing with this issue now 8 months later. I had no desire to wax that area of my neck in the 1^st place. I trusted her
recommendation only to wish I would have spoke up. I’m not an expert, so, I didn’t know better. My neck was the one part that had beautiful skin. Now I just have more hyper pigmentation to deal with.

I was looking for a five star place close to home to get a facial and peel. I heard about the Renewal Center and Kristina, so I booked my appointment. Let me tell you it was a wonderful experience. Kristina is very professional. The products she used were wonderful and she explained everything she was doing and the benefits of it.
I have found my place for facials and much, much more!

Everything you expect from a well-​run, high quality, results-​driven medispa can be found at the Renewal Center. — MY HIGHLIGHTS —
I came to TRC for Botox to ease excessive perspiration caused by a brain condition (Yes, Botox treats excessive sweating & it works. Hallelujah). Virtually painless, it lasted 3X longer than expected. Their renovated office, new location & staff create a peaceful, comfortable environment. The doctor instills total trust in him: he has a wonderful bedside manner (likely acquired from his decades in family practice) & skills like a surgeon. I’ve since returned for more services and won’t hesitate to again.
— MY DETAILED REVIEW —
A congenital brain condition causes excess underarm sweating, and when other options failed, I turned to Botox & to Dr. Olsson. Despite this being a potentially embarrassing appointment, I felt totally comfortable. He was a gentleman, a comforting presence, and extremely knowledgeable: he carefully explained my issue, Botox, the process, the results, and answered all my questions. It was a ‘walk in the park’, and he even explained how common this «hyperhydrosis» –as it’s called– is; I even felt, dare I say, «normal», which was actually wonderful (having a rare brain disorder means I rarely get to be normal, esp. at the doctor).
— THE TREATMENT —
They began with numbing gel rubbed onto the underarm skin. After that absorbed, corn starch was applied to identify the glands by darkening where wetness accumulated. An «x» was drawn on where needed as a guide. Botox was put where marked with very minimal discomfort, then a bit of clean up, and DONE!
— THE RESULT —
— My sweating stopped immediately. I had truly immediately, in-​office, results!
— They offered no-​charge «touch up» injections for 1−2wks if ANY sweating continued since small glands can be missed (what a wonderful business!). But I had no use for their generous offer because it was superbly done the first time.
— I was told the effect would last up to 8mons. To my delight, mine lasted 1.5yrs! (This was a birthday gift to myself, so tracking the time was easy). But that was my body’s personal response, so what’s expected is closer to the average of course.
— After that, I returned for another treatment, and these were even more successful than the first round: it’s been a long while and my symptoms are basically in remission. Dr. O explained that it’s rare but can occur with very successfully placed Botox treatment. I was & am over the moon. No more embarrassment or ruined blouses. And if I EVER need or want anything more, I’m heading straight for TRC!
— THE STAFF & CENTER —
While getting prepped, I chatted with the staff, and it turns out Dr. Olsson was a Primary Care Physician for many, many years & is a third generation physician: he, his father, and his grandfather, all MDs! That experience and knowledge of medicine is a real asset to the practice; you’re in very good hands. I’m thankful I had my treatment with this team, and I hope others choose to support these small, community-​centered businesses.
— MY FINAL THOUGHTS —
This level of skill paired with an independant practice also allows staff time flexibility with patients, which is so rare in today’s world. These local medical practices are becoming VERY rare in-​and-​of-​themselves, and they need our support to survive. The good news is, you can rejuvenate yourself and the local community & economy by supporting businesses like The Renewal Center!
And lastly, if you’re feeling embarrassed about your anatomy or symptom like I was (whether severe sweating, a large mole, discolored veins, etc) know that you can be free of it, and that it can be done with the utmost respect and dignity befitting any other standard medical problem; you don’t have to wait nor worry any longer. I used to shop Groupon for the Botox sales but now I see Dr. Olsson exclusively. Dr. Olsson now guides and manages my bio identical horomone replacement therapy and I could not be more pleased. I especially appreciate that The Renewal Center keeps their services competitive and affordable; no hard sell. Dr. Olsson and his staff do wonderful work and they offer a variety of services from cosmetic facials to Fractional CO2 Laser treatments. The doctor seems to always be up on the latest treatments and will help you look beautiful inside-​and-​out, as he offers vitamins and bioidentical supplements for those who are interested.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone there who looks fake or horrible, and I’ve seen a number of folks coming and going the last five years and they’ve all looked great, plus I’ve seen the office «photo books» and was amazed at some of the results.
If you are interested in any of the procedures, you should make an appointment to speak directly to Dr. Olsson and I think you will be reassured of his talents by taking the time to see the results. He carefully photographs everyone before-​and-​after and will very generously share his time and these photos, so one can make an informed decision.
I’ve been very happy with the treatments I’ve received at the clinic and hope to continue going there for as long as I’m able.
