I was referred to Dr. Rouzer by a local massage therapist over 10 years ago. I was, at the time, NOT a particular fan of Chiropractors, having had a bad experience at an «insurance mill» type operation where the emphasis was solely how many times a week my insurance company would allow me to receive treatment, etc. Dr. Rouzer changed my mind completely with respect to Chiropractic care, and I have been a loyal customer ever since. She is knowledgeable in all aspects of body mechanics, as well as other areas(diet, exercise, etc.) and(in my belief) approaches your particular case with a broad view, not just what kind of treatment she is going to apply in your case, but also has helped me understand how I end up in pain, or discomfort, and how to avoid it in the future. It has been my experience that the emphasis is solely on what you as the patient need to get better, out of pain, etc., and less about how many treatments you«need» from her. I have found more often than not that(in my case) after a couple visits she typically will tell me that I am «good to go» for a while, and need not schedule a return visit until I think I need it. As I like to joke with her, I tell her that I just neglect myself until it hurts and then«expect her to fix it». In my case, she usually does, and then is happy to see me go on my way… Dr,. Rouzer’s office is a small operation, which suits me just fine. I can’t speak to whether she utilizes all the«gee whiz» gadgetry that might be out there(I am guessing not), but that works just fine for me. She will bill insurance plans on your behalf, but is not(as far as I know) part of any«preferred provider» plan for Chiropractic care.
