I heard he’s a great surgeon but no bedside manner,. However, I was shocked how rude and dismissive he is. MASSIVEEGO, didn’t review my records for more than a minute, asked me questions and then Immediately interrupted repeatedly(about 5 times) NOEYECONTACT. suggested i take steroidal anti inflammatories just like«i take hormones.» I don’t TAKEHORMONES. He’s rude, uncaring, disrespectful, and has a huge God complex. I take my medical care seriously, and educate myself on any subject i need to, and he was very threatened by any questions i asked. If you want to be able to communicate with your surgeon, don’t go to Dr. Greenwald.

I had issues with my neck back in 2012. Dr. Greenwald put my concerns to ease during my intial appointment. The surgery went smoothly and I felt immediate relief once I woke up. My wife and I are very thankful to him and his staff.

I saw my chiropractor who couldn’t do anything, Dr. Yeh who wanted to do fusion on my neck and then went to Dr. Greenwald for a second opinion before going into surgery. He carefully studied my MRI images, prescribed a 6 day steroid followed by an anti inflammatory and soft collar. I no longer have the pain in my neck, down my arm and numbness in my thumb. To think I was going to have my neck fused which according to the images was THEWRONGAREA!!! Dr. G might have a dry sense of humor but he’s a damn good doctor.

If you’re looking for a great communicator, he’s not your guy. I don’t want to get into details about my surgery. But what I can say is that he performed a procedure using an aggressive technique which allowed me to be released from the hospital the same day, as opposed to having a lengthy in-hospital recovery period. I’m grateful for this.

Neurosurgeryis not like making a burger it is a skill learned over many many years and needs a person of extraordinary talents. I recently put my trust in Dr. Ronald Greenwald and had him operate on my spine last week. He helped me over this past year in a series of carefully planned treatments including oral steroids and a collection of pain management epidural injections, by a Dr Kahan(who is also a wonderful doctor and person), when it became obvious my pain could not be resolved without surgery, Dr Greenwald explained what was needed and performed the work needed. While no surgery is pain free, and there was some strange complication involving an additional leaking spinal fluid from a cyst, now after a week I feel great, no pain and my life back on track. I highly recommend both Dr Greenwald and Dr Kahan should you have the misfortune to suffer the spine damage and pain that I have enjoured over this past year, these men are not only expert professionals in their fields, but also showed me the understanding and compassion I needed when I thought I would be in tremendous pain for the rest of my life and unable to even pick up my young children and give them a hug.

Good surgeon with a massive god complex. Thinks that once he touches you then you must be healed. Skip him and insist on reviewing a post-surgery rehabilitation plan with any doctor. If Greenwald changes his perspective on usefulness of PT/rehab he will have some potential.

DR. Greenwald is a excellent neurological surgeon. His staff is second to none. He has a dry humor that is often over looked. With given time you will learn to appreciate. I recommend his services to all. The good doctor has two locations Redwood City and Mountain View to serve you better.

Do not go to this doctor. He is a highly skilled surgeon whose ego gets in the way of good judgement and patient care.
