A friend bought us a group tour and tasting and it did not disappoint. I’ll be the first to admit I don’t drink a lot of sprits but despite that, I really enjoyed the tour and tasting. Dave Jr ran our tour and his passion for his work is easy to see. The tour and tasting took about 3 hours and we tried vodka, gin, rum, grappa and my favorite was their pear brandy. You can buy only the pear brandy and grappa at the distillery, but there’s a shop in Mountain View that carries some of their other spirits.
If you’re a spirit drinker, this is a must go. If you’re not a spirit drinker (like me) go anyway and support a small, family business.

I had the pleasure of meeting Dave Sr. and Dave Jr. at their distillery back in August. I was able to see vodka being distilled while sampling some of their products. This past Friday, the guys were featured vendors at Leadership Mountain View’s 25th Anniversary Party. Their rum punch was the star of the show! I heard nothing but good things from our attendees, both those who are rum enthusiasts and those who were sampling it for the first time. I look forward to having other events with them.

Not only do these guys make some of the best distilled spirits in the country (from Hawaiian rum to bierschnapps), they’re also incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about what they do. If you get a chance to tour the distillery, do it! (And pat Brandy on the head too. :-D)
