Community Services Agency of Mountain View and Los Altos

I’ve worked with Alison to organize a Holiday Volunteer Day for my company, TrialPay. We always have a great time setting up the Toy Store and we feel lucky we can be a small part of making the holiday’s special for local kids who may otherwise not get any presents.
This will be our 5^th Year volunteering with them and we couldn’t be happier to support the great work they do!

Great Mountain View agency that helps low income families with various services.
Food, clothes, bus passes, scholarships for students for camps, etc.

CSA of Mountain View and Los Altos– we love you. When kids in my neighborhood don’t have money for school supplies, you come through and provide them with a backpack full of stuff for school. When families can’t put enough food on the table, you give them veggies, and tortillas and even meat! Wow. When anyone is in any kind of a pickle and doesn’t know where to go or what to do, you’ll either bail them out or send them in the right direction. What would our community be without you to help us when we need it. Thanks for helping to make Mountain View the best place to live in the whole wide world.
(That’s just my opinion, but I know what I’m talking about.)

This place helped me get through grad school with its food pantry. I’ve also volunteered with LaDrea and Alison, who are amazing staff members at CSA. CSA provides food, school supplies, and holiday gifts (more than I got at Xmas, lemme tell you!) to our community members in need. They also provide assistance to homeless and elderly folks in the area. Honestly, this is one of the best non-​profits I’ve ever been a part of.
Thank you CSA! With out you I would have had no brain-​food to get me through grad school! Keep up the great work folks!

I have to admit I find it funny that they provide services to the poor people of Los Altos and Los Altos Hills …
That being said, they are a great organization. I own a home caregiving business, and we’ve worked very closely with CSA. They provide a resource for the elderly in our community that we are very fortunate to have … they truly care.

and she is looking for volunteers M-​F during the days.
But during the holidays, she is looking for volunteers to help with one time opportunities during the evenings and weekends. You can be put on an email list and contact her on the tasks you would like to do, first come first served.

I just worked with this group by way of the Village Harvest.
Village Harvest uses their building as a meeting place for their volunteers before they harvest fruit and then return to sort and store the fruit before it is distributed out to the poor.
This location is tough to find. Parallel to Moffett Blvd. Access this building two ways.
1. From Moffett Blvd. (Heading towards El Camino Real) cross the parking lot of the Mountain View Community Health Center, 100 N. Moffett Blvd.
and you are on Stierlin Road.
2. From Moffet Blvd. (heading towards El Camino Real) right onto Central Avenue. Left onto Stierlin Road. Located on the right side.

I was the chairperson for my son’s school’s Thanksgiving event this year. A total of a little over 100 students was able to gather 820 lbs of food and I, along with another mom, drove the food down to the Community Services Agency and donated it to their food closet. This organization does excellent work. Their food closet opens to the homeless and low-​income families every single day. People of all ethnicity utlize this facility and especially so during the holiday season. Those of us who are fortunate enough to say we’ve never been hungry, can donate food to this organization Monday to Friday from 10am to 5pm. You can also volunteer your time to help these people. Just give them a call or drop by with some food.
