We recently had a formal gathering at our home and wanted to provide our guests with a special bento-​box lunch. We’ve had their box lunches before so we called them and gave them a price point. They delivered right on time and our guests were impressed with the variety of food and formal presentation. As the previous reviewer states, they have a $ 40 min for deliveries which for us was a non-​issue. I’d give them a try if you want to serve quality Japanese box bento on site.

Known from it’s Yoshoku style Japanese food in SF/​San Mateo, Chika closed a couple years back, but now they are back as a catering business in Mountain View.
I had happen to find Chika’s Bento boxes at Mitsuwa in San Jose! And after further research found they had reopened as a catering business in Mountain View.
They do CATERING ONLY and the minium is about $ 40 which is delivered to your party/​business/​etc and flexible if you want it to be delivered in the southbay. The hamburg, spaghetti, potato salad (and I don’t even like potato salad) and dorian seafood is AWESOME. If you don’t want to do catering order you can always pick up a bento box at Mitsuwa!
Chika! Please reopen a restaurant in the southbay!!!
