Bill’s Towing Service

I carry Bill’s Towing card in my wallet. When I need a tow or battery assistance, I pull out the card and call Bill’s. Every time I’ve called over the past 6 – 7 years, Bill’s Towing has been prompt and efficient. Knowing I can count on Bill’s, greatly reduces stress during these car problem headaches.

Just got my car Jumpstarted. I asked ahead of time if they took cards, they said yes. Tow truck arrives on time. Gave him my card and he started copying the numbers down including the code on the back. I said I didn’t want my card to be copied and to use the phone. He takes offence and replies «do you have something to hide?. We are a business buddy». Just an unnecessarily unpleast experience. Jump start car, charge me, leave your shitty attitude at home and we all go home happy.

I had so much troubles with other towing company but with bill’s towing, Marvin came by quickly and on time to pick up my car, and take it for a relatively longer distance. He did an awesome job and was very friendly. All for a good rate as well. I would definitely recommend this towing service over others in the Bay!

Marvin just dropped my wife and I off at the dealership, after our overheating car was stuck on the side of the 85 on a narrow shoulder. He arrived way quicker than estimated, and got us loaded up and out of harms way. Friendly too. «Best» tow experience ever.

My car stalled on Highway 237 and as part of the roadside assistance of my insurance carrier, Bill’s Towing Service came to my rescue. I was told to wait for 40 minutes but Marvin (of Bill’s Towing) arrived 20 minutes early so right off the bat, I was impressed. Marvin then took me to his air-​conditioned truck while he was loading my car into his truck. What started as an otherwise stressful situation (being stuck in the middle of the freeway) turned out to be a really pleasant ride to where I was supposed to go. Marvin has excellent customer care skills and he makes sure that you are at ease and relieved of all stress once he is there to help you. I seldom write Unilocal reviews but when I encounter a service person like Marvin, I want to share it with the whole world because it is so hard to find people like him these days. Kudos to Marvin and everyone at Bill’s Towing. Thank you for making my day pleasant again.

This review is for Bill’s Towing Service and specifically for CJ. I was stuck in a parking lot in Cupertino late tonight since my car wasn’t starting. Called my insurance company and the kind representative to whom I spoke to immediately contacted Bill’s Towing Service. The window given to me was about 30 minutes. However, within about 15 minutes itself CJ had arrived in the lot to help me. As soon as he came, he very politely greeted me and thanked me for waiting. He went on to assure me that he will help fix my car soon. Within a few minutes, everything was fine and my car was good to go. I was feeling bad that CJ had to come so late to help start my car (especially since it was unusually cold outside). However, CJ genuinely seemed like someone who liked to help others. All along, he was very cheerful and we even chatted a bit. Great job CJ. I am very grateful to you for your immense help. Thanks to you, I was able to get home tonight.

Marvin came by to tow my car to the shop. When he arrived, the car wouldn’t move despite being in neutral. Throughout the whole ordeal, he was professional and honest. What I particularly appreciate is that he was very friendly to my wife who had to manage the tow. I used Bill’s on a recommendation from my shop, and am glad I did. I will definitely keep their number on my speed dial, just in case.

I had a really great experience with Bill’s Towing Service. They arrived at my location super-​fast. The driver was extremely friendly and the truck was very new looking and presentable. They jump started my car quickly and had me on my way! Will definitely use them again!

I’ve been meaning to write a review for a long time. I haven’t written many reviews so it’s usually if I really hate or really love a place.
This place is beyond TERRIBLE. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU DON’T HAVE TO!!!
Call the police if they don’t cooperate, and I’d looked the laws about towing. You can check the DMV website easily.
I agree completely with the other complaints. Also, Ike, driver number 44, is a horrible person. I don’t understand how he stays employed. He’s rude, condescending and an angry person.

Shout out to CJ! After a long and difficult day (check out my review of South Bay towing) my insurance company sent out this towing service. CJ was extremely helpful and was able to do all the things that the previous towing service said they couldn’t do. There were some difficulties of getting my car onto the truck but he put in all of his effort and went above and beyond to make sure my car was secure. I know some other guys would’ve just gotten lazy. He got out to me in less than 45 mins and provided the best service I could ask for. So that’s why this review is strictly for him. Thanks again CJ for all your help!

I went to Bill’s Towing to recover a vehicle for my late fiancé, who passed recently — and the entire staff was atrociously unprofessional, rude, crude, or socially unacceptable. I’m not sure what their motives were (maybe to keep the vehicle long enough to force it into a lien situation so they could assume ownership?), but they tried EVERYTHING to prevent me from leaving with my fiancé’s classic 69′ Toyota Landcruiser. They were totally aware that he had passed away, and I was floored by the complete and utter LACK of respect for the sensitivity of these circumstances. While waiting for them to fumble around and deliberately delay — claiming the manager, Ike, was unavailable, I sat in the lobby area listening to an off-​duty employee banter with the receptionist about the most inappropriate topics of conversation — cursing loudly with every other idiotic word. Then this «Ike» character comes in like a total prick, talking down to me with the most offensive and even hostile attitude, tone, and body language; takes a look at the legal affidavit the estate attorney had prepared which authorized me to recover the car, and declares that it’s not adequate. He demanded a «power of attorney» which doesn’t even exist for someone who is deceased. In his ignorance, he then demanded a letter from my fiancé’s attorney. Umm… He doesn’t HAVE an attorney because has DIED?! Duh!?! Nor did he even have one when he was living — he WAS an attorney! Then Ike proceeded to throw my fiancé’s death certificate on the counter like it was a piece of garbage saying, «This is nothing to me!» and demanded more and more documentation. Luckily, the estate attorney was finally able to email over all their demands. At the end of it all, it came down to the receptionist contacting the owner, verifying the signatures on the Will matched those on file. Literally TWO HOURS and LOTS of TEARS later, I left with the vehicle.
Totally agree with Jekara’s review on both points:

His conduct is beyond deplorable.

Me and my boyfriend Mike had the pleasure of having Ike of Bill’s Towing Service tow our 1 ton dually truck and living quarters 3-​horse trailer over 100 miles late at night, into the early AM actually, we arrived safely at our destination, and the ride was confortable and professional, he took great care of our vehicles during the towing and if you can believe this, this tow truck driver has a personality that helps you forget the stress you are under when breaking down so far away from home. If you need a tow, I highly recommend Bills Towing.

My car was in an accident and towed by this company. The repair shop came to retrieve the car but there was no on-​site employee authorized to release my car during normal business hours. The receptionist explained that all the drivers are out clearing illegally parked cars at a farmers market. The repair shop was unable to pick up my car and had to send a second two truck several hours later resulting in additional fees. This unacceptable business practice by not having proper staff working during business hours resulted in a delay getting my car fixed.

Super, Professional and Quality Service from Personable, Knowledgeable and Ethical people.

Worst immoral humans on earth. These people are scum of the earth. While I understand it was my husband’s fault his car was towed, these disgusting people wanted to charge us a 100 gate fee to retrieve medication from the car. Ike driver number 44 should really be punished for how unprofessional he is. This establishment warrants no recognition and shouldn’t be in business.

I had never heard of these guys until I saw one of their trucks this morning, zooming down Central, cutting people off, and tailgating. Would you really trust someone who drives like that (in a fully-​marked commercial vehicle no less) to tow your car? I wouldn’t. Since they have such positive reviews maybe they only employ one bad driver, but how do you know which one you’re getting?

The driver come very fast and very nice. Very Professional and friendly. If I need help I will call this company again. Thanks a lot.

Great, professional, friendly, fast service! This place is amazing and the people who work there take pride in what they do! If you need anything call this place, they will take care of you and treat your car like their own! As a woman I get nervous when dealing with my car that I will be taken advantage of, but this place makes you feel incredibly comfortable! I couldn’t be happier!
