All You Need is Mat

I participated in Emilia’s pilates meetups held in Mountain View park. I’d never tried pilates before (I’m more a yoga person), so I didn’t know what to expect. I liked the set of exercises Emilia prepared for us and how she adjusted them to our individual needs: after a session I felt nicely relaxed and stretched.
The biggest advantages of Emilia’s training? She knows A LOT about the anatomy of the muscles, and during sessions she explained with detail what’s the goal of each exercise.
Emilia’s super open-​minded and probably one of the most optimistic people I know — always smiling! :)

I started Mat Pilates with Emilia a year ago after years of just doing cardio, and she has done wonders for my overall health! My lower back was giving out when leaning over gardening and I had a hard time sprinting to the other end of the field during soccer. Now, with my stronger core and increased flexibility, my back pain is gone, and I can keep up with players twenty years younger. I love how her classes are supportive and welcoming for someone who hasn’t moved their body in years, while also being challenging enough for those of us who are ready to move to the next level. And did I mention I have lost 10 pounds and have the flattest tummy I have had in years? She is right — all you need is Emilia and a mat!

Emilia has done a great job introducing me, not a very sporty person:), to Pilates and healthy spine. We had a semi-​personal training in a park and it was a lot of fun and exercises that really put me on the edge of comfort, but at the same time haven’t caused any unpleasant aftereffects:) I can highly recommend Emilia’s open-​minded and non-​judgmental attitude, sometimes so hard to find in others.

Emilia is so great! She led me through my first pilates class with ease and left me feeling refreshed and even a little stronger. She focuses a lot on alignment and the fundamentals of poses in order to help you get the most out of your pilates experience, and I really appreciate that. I couldn’t recommend this pilates experience more.
