Loved the food! The owner was very nice and informative. Appetizer was awesome and the lamb dish and rice. This is my new favorite inMountain Top!

I stopped in for a carry-out after a 9 hr drive on Easter. I had a quick bowl of soup while I waited for my food to go. The soup was good but way garlicky. I got home and was so disappointed in my food. I tried to call to request a refund but the phone number wasn’t working. The shrimp korma was rotten. You could smell it as soon as I opened the container. The shrimp was completely mush! The vegetable Briyani was over-salted, and uninteresting. An owner(I assume he was an owner) had asked me if I lived in the area as I was waiting, he came in from the liquor store next door. After we spoke he went into the kitchen for a min then left. Did he say something like, «It doesn’t matter what quality we give her, she doesn’t live here.“Maybe I am paranoid and reading too much into a past-the-point-of edible shrimp dinner I was given.

Let me just say that I was a little disappointed the first time I went to the beer store and saw«Taste of India» but found no Indian food. Oh, how things change! Let’s be honest, any Indian food at all in Mountain Top would be a welcome change– but it certainly doesn’t hurt that this place is fast, friendly, and their food is delicious. And less than 10 minutes from my house. Pleased with this arrangement, to say the least. Welcome to Mountain Top, Swagat. I’ll be seeing you again very, very soon.

I am in town visiting family. My younger daughter loves Indian food and we were delighted to be able to try a place on the mountain. We ordered four vegetarian dishes, naan, pappadum, and magi lassi; they all were fabulous. I like spicy but my children do not – the result was sufficiently mild but full of flavor(not at all bland). We chose to dine in – the décor was spartan but clean and pleasant, and the service was friendly and prompt. We definitely will be back!

This place has good Indian food and provides a very welcome variety to mountain top dining. We generally do take out but have had this place probably 6 – 7 times now. Chicken Tikka Masala is good and you can ask for it spicy to your liking. They generally err on mild unless you tell them. Comes with rice but you need to order your Naan separately like usual. Highly recommended and one of the best places in town for dinner that’s not Italian. Hope they add keema naan and seekh kebabs in the future…

Tried it today. Food is great, mild, but very flavorful. Good to have nice international options on the mountain. No alcohol allowed at this point, not even BYOB.

I’m so happy to see something besides Italian open up in Mountain Top. Ok, there are the Asian restaurants, but … Had heard something was opening up next to the beer store with real food and it finally did. Food was good. We started with pakoras(I really think we ordered the cheese — and the other couple got them) and I would recommend them. Freshly made, crispy on the outside and tender in. I had the Malai Kofta and ordered it medium spicy. Sauce was tasty and the kofta were good as well. Never sure how spice levels are anywhere, but this actually was medium. Usually when I order medium it comes out with very little heat. My husband’s lamb vindaloo was ordered hot — and it almost was(I figure if I can eat it, it’s not really hot). One oddity — the salt lassi were good, but came in a tall glass with a short straw. Had to ditch the straw early. Also, can’t say much for the décor — tablecloths and napkins — but that’s it. A strand of colored lights around the ceiling(and not sure why there was a phone? jack and power outlet at each table, but who knows. Maybe something is planned. But I go places for the food. I wish the family luck — and hope they’re there for a good long time, because I do love Indian food.
