I’ve had pork chops not done, messed up orders, etc. Not good. That’s all I gotta say about that.

We have been here several times and have always enjoyed excellent food and service. In my opinion, this is the best restaurant in Mtn Home!

had dinner at Colton’s twice. Both times the tables were sticky and the cigarette smoke from the bar area was awful

Yikes. I’ve been here 2 times and both experiences with their food was less than impressive. Example: loaded potato skins; overdone potato cut in half and had a little bit of bacon and cheese sprinkled on. So disappointing, we didn’t even eat it and the waitress didn’t ask how it was or I would have very nicely expressed that it was not good. Disappointed that this location does not withhold the good food that I have experienced in Fayetteville!

We had dinner here on a Monday night, waited ten minutes for a server, but he was nice. The sirloin steak had more gristle than meat, and the green beans were soggy and boiled to the point that they had no flavor. It reminded me of cafeteria food from a buffet. I know there’s not many places in Mountain Home, but I probably won’t be back to Colton’s.

When I moved to Mountain Home I was told that this was a undesirable place to eat by a neighbor. I took my visiting son and his family there as that was their choice of places to go. The wait was acceptable, and the staff was very friendly. We were very pleased with our food and it was more than acceptable as well as plenty of it. Have been there several times since and it has always been a pleasure. I am a huge catfish fan and they have always had a very good plate. If you looking for a quiet place or a place that you are in a hurry to eat and run, then perhaps you should choose some where else, it is a bit noisy and it will take a few minutes to get your meal(but not an overly long time).

In the past the food at Colton’s was normally consistent and what was ordered. I ha e been there 3 or 4 times in the last year and every time it was disappointing. The steaks, medium rare is my personal preference, were obviously cooked under a press. They were flattened, not juicy, my Del Rio ribeye was also unseasoned on two od those visits. It simply had onion strings. Steaks were consistently overcooked or way undercooked. One time a server apogized for the temp of our steaks and I was given a coupon for a free app with the purchase of an entrée by management. If I give you my money to cook a meal for me fix it. Don’t give me a coupon that requires me to come back and apend $ 70 to save $ 5.

Always good food and nice service. The owners are wonderful to work with too for large events.

The food is excellent. Always hot and ready. Service is great. Yeast rolls are addictive! Southern hospitality and great southern food.

Stopped 6÷17÷15. On vacation from Illinois, 8 adults. Salads were good except 2 out of 8 didn’t come till after everyone else finished their salads. Buns amazing! 3 ordered ribs, they were cold. One ordered steak well done, it was blood red. Sent it back, she was happy with it when it returned. Not to sure we’d come back. Waitress Megan was good and apologized.

Tried this place for the first time and had the ribs with catfish. They asked if I wanted the ribs dry or wet. I though it meant seasoning type. Wet for bbq sauce or a dry rub like a St Louis style. Tried dry and had no sauce, spices or flavor. I assumed a pork rib but it was beef not a preference of mine. There was a lot of catfish but it was really mushy and tasteless. I will try the place again but for a steak. Which I hear they are know for. Place was clean and staff were great. Might be interesting to see how this place fares when Western Sizzlers opens.

This review is LONG overdo. The food has always been consistently good. The wait staff are always attentive and seem truly concerned. The best part for me is the Caster’s(I think that’s the correct spelling), they are the owners. I am from California. Here is why I will never go anywhere else when I am in town: My mom is in a nursing care facility near Colton’s. She loves the cat fish and okra. While in town, I took mom and some local family there to get mom out of the facility for lunch. At the time, she used a walker most of the time. We had finished our meal and everyone was saying their goodbyes and leaving. The restaurant was busy and we could see a crowd waiting for tables. My mom had some kind of panic attack. She literally could not stand to walk out of the restaurant. I tried for sometime. I believe one or both of the Caster’s saw what was happening and came by to tell her not to worry — she could take her time and stay as long as she wanted. Which was amazing all by itself. There was another patron that came over and introduced himself as a local volunteer firefighter and paramedic. He talked to her and got her calmed her down a little. Then me and him picked my mom up — restaurant chair and all and walked her to the car. He then helped me get her into the car. He left while I was settling her in. I went back in to say thanks and to tell the Caster’s that I’d like to pay for his parties meal. Their response, «don’t worry, we already did. And tell your mom we hope she’ll be back soon.» How amazing is that. These are just plain good people. I am a fan for life.

Ok for the price you pay. Gravy out of a can mashed potatoes were ok but no flavor steak ok but someone doesn’t know how to cook medium rare and the salad had one onion ring one croûton and that was it for a salad. Red wine was from a box by the taste. Too sweet for red. Service was good that I will give the credit for.

The waitresses have always been very polite and attentive and the restaurant is clean, but the food is terrible. The only vegetarian options are a very plain salad and an Alfredo pasta(if you ask for meat to be omitted). It is a pretty sorry excuse for pasta, but that is to be expected at a «steak house». Despite this, my husband has always received lousy steaks and ribs from this place.

Plain, plain, plain. The steak was okay, but for $ 20 I expected more. The menu was somewhat limited too.

The food here is very similar to a restaurant I infrequently visit back home, except Colton’s gets it right every time. I like the atmosphere in this establishment, and the service is pretty good as well. As a history buff, I love that they have the history of Colton’s printed on the back of the menus. It’s a fascinating read. This is probably one of the better restaurants in Mountain Home right now.

I’ve never had a bad meal here. Service usually exceeds my expectations. I think a few menu items are a tad bit overpriced, but still reasonable. If they came with two sides, instead of one, they would be a better deal. The owners also give back to the community and participate in local charitable events. I eat here at least twice per month and recommend it.
