Normally I enjoy my time at this chili’s. I visited a couple of days ago and it was the worst experience I have ever had. I, along with my cousins took our mother’s for a late lunch. It was busy, we expected it to be a little slow. We did not expect it to take over an hour to get our meals. People who showed up after us received their food and were already gone before we had our food. The table behind us I am pretty sure got 2 of our plates, they complained because they hadn’t even had their appetizers yet. When we did get our food we were told that other servers kept taking our food to other tables. Steaks were not cooked correctly and burger buns were rock hard. When we paid I gave the waitress cash, she brought back an even amount, not correct change. I guess she decided to keep her own tip. We were already running late because of how slow they had been so we did not have time to speak to a manager in person, but we did call. When we called the person who answered the phone hung up on us, twice! I’m not sure what the issue was that day but they need to get it together.

Chili’s has just gotten bad, it’s no longer Chili Con Queso it’s just Hormel chili dumped into a cold skillet, ribs have gotten tough not the tender fall off the bone they use to be and everything was served cold

My friend asked the waitress if the Country Fried Steak could be ordered as «Chicken Fried Chicken» and described for her using a chicken breast instead of steak meat in the dish. She checked with the kitchen and they said yes it could even though it wasn’t on the menu. It came out as Steak! Had to wait 15 minutes for the order to be redone. I ordered a rib eye(clearly stated on the order written by the waitress). It came out as a sirloin! The manager came to the table and said that the Country Fried Steak mixup was the waitress’ problem(which it wasn’t) and that she’d mark the price down on my ticket and I could EATTHESIRLOIN instead of a rib eye! After a few tense moments she decided to give us both meals for free(never did get my rib eye), but we’d have to pay for the one beer that I’d ordered. The manager needs some training in customer relations. A LOT of training. We are never going back to this Chili’s again… EVER.

It’s really hit or miss. Some days it’s fantastic and the service amazing. Other times it’s horrendous. Luckily it’s mostly pretty good and the service is pretty good as well.

I have never been satisfied with my meal at Chili’s of Mountain Home, and I’ve been here many times since it opened(I return because many friends/family dinners end up here… not by my choice) I have ordered burgers many times, always asking for a black bean burger to be substituted for a beef burger. It has only arrived the correct way one time… and by the time the correct order was brought to the table, my family/friends had all already finished their meals. I have had one waiter and one waitress mention to my table that they didn’t like their jobs, which was awkward. The few times that I ordered soup, I did so while asking to omit the bacon garnish. It arrived with bacon every time.(I am a vegetarian, so «no bacon» is an important detail for me) I was tired of sending my burger back every time I ordered it, so I tried ordering the«cajun chicken pasta»(with no chicken) the last time we went to Chili’s. The pasta arrived with no meat, but it had dried into a solid, dry clump of pasta… I assume from sitting under a heat lamp for so long. It was disgusting.

It’s a Chili’s. I use coupons frequently(ones from email/Facebook and the one on my Foursquare app) and have never had a problem. The servers are friendly, whether dine-in or carry out. The food is typical. Nothing outstanding but not bad. I generally order a salad, burger, sandwich or chicken crispers. I’ve had a few times when my order has been messed up on carry-out but after a phone call they mail me vouchers or replace the meal. It gets busy at peak times — evenings, lunch hour — so if you’re on a schedule I would get carry out or make different arrangements.

Chilis was a bit of a disappointment last night. Had the 8 oz. house sirloin. It was very tough and no flavor. Couldn’t hardly cut it with a steak knife, let alone chew it. I only ate a small portion of it. The waitress was less than stellar this time. She was not too terribly friendly, and she had a little bit of an attitude. I’ve definitely experienced better meals at Chilis before.
