My friend and I needed a quiet place to review our Russian homework, so I suggested coming here. He had never had a crêpe before, and its been awhile since I’ve had a good one. The place is small, clean and very well lit. We both ordered the sliced banana with cinnamon and honey. It was delicious, but could have used more banana. However, I had an issue with their pricing. As I was paying, I noticed a 10% off sign for civil service workers and joked about them not offering a student discount. The cashier told me afterwards that they did, but failed to offer it to me. She also almost shorted me on my change. When I told the manager that there should be a sign, all he said was that they offer a student discount at the same rate as civil service workers and that he would be putting up a sign soon. At this point, I still wasn’t offered any discount, despite having a valid ID. Anywhere else would have re-done the transaction and all I got was a «Sorry about that.» I probably won’t be coming back here again due to this fact because they might as well have just said it was my fault for not inquiring beforehand. Oh well.

The yogurt is great and the customer service is on point. I love the sorbet. There’s a new flavor every few weeks. I haven’t tried the crepes yet, will do soon!

I saw this spot after eating pizza next door and decided to come back after taking a walk. Luckily, a flyer guy actually walked up to me and gave me a 10% coupon for this place on my way walking back. I was going to come here either way, sucka! It’s a nice sized space with a few tables. It is very, very white. White décor walks a fine line of sterile or fresh. It just didn’t have any hominess to it and was just sterile. I came in expecting like 50 flavors as listed on the flyer(minus the ones labeled seasonal) and was disappointed to only see 6 or 8. They only have a few each day and rotate. I don’t know how you would get regulars or at least regulars who want a specific flavor since I doubt there is a strict schedule of when they offer each flavor. I got the European tart and white chocolate macadamia nut. Both were good flavors and had a nice richness. The toppings were what you expect(granola, graham cracker, strawberry, cookie crumbles, etc.) They had sauces(caramel, white chocolate, fudge) but like the squirt bottles you buy from Foodtown which was a bit tacky. They charge by the weight. It was reasonably priced. This is not an angry 2 stars its just that when you have places like Red Mango and Pinkberry you cannot open up afterwards with less options and less friendly setting.

Swirls & Sweets is exactly what Fleetwood needs. I wish it was in business when I lived in the ‘hood. This is your typical froyo place — grab a cup, step up to the machine, choose your toppings, and put it on the scale. The flavors change with 6 or 8 available at any time. I’m not sure how I just noticed their existence but I’m told they opened in February. Tonight I had a chocolate/vanilla twist with a variety of toppings. I rung up at $ 3.02. The gal gave me a lid and bagged it up to go. I prefer ice cream but it was yummy. I also need to go back to taste their crepes.
