Awesome food we love eating here can’t wait for the restaurant to open. The sandwiches are my favorite.

Organic produce, coffee, meat… decent prices for a coop, especially with the size of the town. Mercantile upstairs has all kinds of treasures… great place for birthday shopping. Lots of bulk items, nice sized cheese selection.

I used to like this co-op. I went out of the way today to go there on the way back from a road trip. Unfortunately, after buying a single 2.5% beer to share with my girlfriend while eating lunch from their deli, their staff followed us outside to ensure we didn’t drink it anywhere near their establishment. When we found a table off their property to have lunch, they followed us to it as well. I’ll never set foot here again, and you should consider shopping elsewhere.

I absolutely love this place! I buy the majority of my groceries here and I am never disappointed. All the staff is friendly and willing to help. Even will cut some fruit for you to sample before you buy! Their house made ice cream is my favorite as well as some of the best coffee you’ll ever have! Always something new and exciting at the Coop!

This is a great market for downtown Mount Vernon You can find local, organic products that are delicious. The deli counter offers lots of vegetarian options that are savory. They also offer a variety of cheeses and teas. I love shopping here for natural homeopathic medicine and essential oils. Sales representative’s are helpful and will order products if unavailable.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visits here while staying in the area for a local improv touring show. It’s in a big ol’ charming, vintage brick building with plenty of charming signs showing ‘wear & tear’ throughout. On the outside it appears big but inside it appears even more spacious. You have the main floor space + restrooms and upstairs areas to sit or shop goods + restrooms. The bathrooms are cool, too; warm & simple. Navigating the aisles seemed fine but there may be a few narrow spots, FYI. Not sure if an elevator leads upstairs. The awesome selection here reminds me of PCC and a hint of Whole Foods. For example, you’ll find similar munchies but also different ones I’ve not seen before(usually common brands with varying flavor selection). The deli looked _so_good. I decided to go for the roasted/broiled(?) brussels sprouts and herbed chicken with some sort of dark rub and skin; there was a white herbed chicken but I usually find those a bit on the dry side for my taste. The dark herbed chicken was _so_finger-licking good. Good food all around! They also carry nice bags for reuse. The staff are friendly & personable. Location is a bit tricky at first — newbs, like I, drove around the block 1 – 2 times — but then the«ohhh» sets in and then you get it down. Also, it’s fairly close to the I-5 on/off ramps for great traveling convenience.

A cashier with a long ponytail and receding hairline was very rude to me, my mom, and my service dog yesterday. He raised his voice telling us to «leave the store now», and when I wouldn’t leave and told him she’s a service dog he was very grumpy and childish; slamming and opening things, tossing my produce at me in stead of just scanning and placing in the bag or on the counter… Though the soup, salad, juice, and groceries that I purchased were awesome — I won’t be returning to this food coop location.

My first time here, but thoroughly impressed with what they have here. Large selection of… everything. If I lived nearby I would frequent this co-op, but I live in Kirkland. Great deli selection. My husband, a junk food guru, was sold on all of their offerings. I also really enjoyed the shop upstairs. Tons of cute things for kids and adults alike. My sister-in-law got all of our Christmas gifts here and everyone loved what they got! Will stop in every chance we get when in the area!

I love love love this place. They have an amazing salad bar, with fresh ingredients. A deli in which sandwiches are made to order. As well as delicious pastry/dessert options. Highly recommend the vegan chocolate cake. I loved it so much I ordered the bunt cake to bring home to the family!

They let me flash my membership card from Bellingham Co-op to buy here, which is great. I come in once in a while. parking is funky, location a little off my path, but, some days I just go for it. I like the shitakie noodles(sp?) and glutten free aminos. some things are really high price(my opinion.) they have a few gems. I get a bottle of kombatcha while there. plus, vits, and some frozen meat. It has a hippy /yuppy dirty floor décor going on, is cool.

We are not members, but shop here often enough that we should be. Other than all the neat healthy stuff, they have an excellent deli. The Garden burger would turn ANY carnivore into a tree hugging hippie. I am not a vegetarian, and don’t intend to ever be, but I would take this garden burger over half the hamburgers I have had in my time.

Good food with vegan options including bean burgers and vegan baked goods. Awesome vegan cookies. Prices are good. You can dine in. They have a deli, juice bar, coffee bar, hot food bar, salad bar and grocery. Hot food has less vegan options but ingredients are clearly marked, i. e. V for vegan, N for nut, GF for gluten free. Not many other vegan options in town so this is your best bet. I enjoyed their soup and salad bar most. Veges are fresh. Salad bar starts to run out about 6PM. Staff is very helpful. Juicing is limited but good. The smoothie I had was pretty darn tasty. This is vegan recommended! There are plenty of non-vegan options for our animal eating friends. Overall nice place. If I lived here this would be my Whole Foods alternative. Probably better than Whole Foods.

If you’re in Mount Vernon, I URGEYOUTOSTOPYOURRESTAURANTSEARCHANDGOHERE. Not only will you be supporting the local economy and local farmers, you’ll get a delicious meal and become a part of a superb community, even if it’s only for a few minutes. I forced my girlfriend to come here for dinner and she and I are both glad we came. They have a vast selection of both vegan and carnivorous foods. I had some kind of vegan masala wrap(which was ultra tasty), the freshest salad I’ve ever eaten with house-made tofu ranch dressing, and some yam soup. They also sell cold food by the pound, which we will have to try next time we’re in town. Apparently the soups here have won some kind of soup award. Seating is abundant and the grocery store section is pretty cool too. We even brought home some organic canned cat food for our little guy. This outing went hand in hand with the outdoorsy nature of the Tulip Festival just around the corner.
