When we go through Mt. Vernon we love to eat here. Pizza is all fresh ingredients, they are generous with their toppings and the crust is excellent. We used to pick up pizzas when they were a carry out only yrs ago. The new restaurant is very nice atmosphere and extremely clean.

Our family has dined in here twice. Once right after they opened, and once in September 2015. I will preface this by saying that the restaurant is very clean, and the food we received tasted delicious. BUT… On both occasions they didn’t get our pizza orders right. The first trip we ordered a pepperoni and pepperoncini pizza. We received a sausage and green pepper pizza. The excuse we were given was that the regular cook wasn’t there and that was probably why the order wasn’t read correctly. The second trip we ordered a four topping pizza. onions, pepperoni, pepperoncini and tomato. We received a two topping pizza with only onions and pepperoni. I really like the crust that they have. But as far as liking their pizza, I really wouldn’t know how great it could be because I’ve never received what I actually ordered, which is extremely disappointing. I don’t know if someone just can’t write down the order correctly, or if someone can’t read the tickets correctly, but something is being lost in translation here and needs to be fixed. I can’t see myself visiting here again. Why would I if my orders are constantly incorrect?

Giralamo’s has a great variety of Italian dishes. We have been twice and have had great food everytime. Their thin crust pizza is delicious. The crust is crisp and the sauce is perfect. We ordered the chicken marsala today as well as chicken parmigiana. Both were hearty portions and very good. The salad and garlic knots were delicious. We also tried their cannoli. We’ve had quite a few cannolis and this is one of our favorites. My only complaint is the speed of service. We went at the end of lunchtime. There were two other tables, and it still took over 30 minutes to get our food to us.

Authentic Italian food served in a relaxed atmosphere. Lunch specials very affordable. Don’t forget to get the garlic knots. We’ll definitely be back!
