This place has undergone so many renovations and name changes over the years, but I think it’s about to take off. It’s in a poor location, in the old part of town next to the high school. Parking can be a nuisance, but there is parking on the street, across the street in a lot as well as next to the building in another lot.
The crowd here can be a little rough. I was outside waiting for a cab one night and someone approached me and said I was staring at him because he was hispanic. Then he pulled a knife out. I doubt this is typical, and the situation was rectified, but don’t let your guard down here.
The bar is a mixture of a pool hall, a dance club and a live music venue. In the first part of the place, there are pool tables, a long bar, seating and a dance floor. If you walk through that room and into the adjoined building, you’ll notice they have built a room for concerts with a ton of seating and a bar inside there. So it’s really two different bars in one. The bartenders are great, and the security staff is cool. It draws a mixture of crowds, and with MV being so limited in the nightlife, this place could be a real hit.
