I’m jaded. I’ll admit it. I love nothing more than taking my pinoy family on quests for filipino restaurants. We are the filipino family in eastern KY. We have drove 6 – 8 hours to partake of particular pinoy cuisine. There was a Filipino restaurant in NW Kentucky. A little town called Louisville. That is a moot point now. Heart & Soul has rendered my endless searching for pinoy restaurants pointless. They are even on my side of Lexington. Things are looking good for my worn out mini van. I understand they serve more American cuisine during the week. I had the most excellent jalapeño and cheese soup because I’m trying to eat better. A soup that isn’t Filipino at all, BUTAWESOMESTILL! I wish I knew the name of all the various Filipino dishes that my wife and mother-n-law savor but they are always in a divine state of rapture the while time they’re there that they don’t have time to fool with silly unnecessary issues like talking or communicating.
