I’ve been seeing Dr. Gilbertson for 3 years. She is a professional and cares about me and my well being. I see her about twice a year. She has remembered me since my second visit. Which tells me she either has a great memory or looks at my file before coming into the room(which is rather nice to not have to watch my primary doctor shuffle through my history while I’m sitting there). In reading some other reviews, she is described as «sweet». Which she is. Yet I would use the word caring instead of sweet. More old style doctor. There is an actual discussion between us, not just a question and answer session. There is a warm greeting and an equally warm closure to the appointment. With regards to the woman who complained about Dr. Gilbertson, I can only say… You sound so depressed. You also sound like a complete handful of a patient. You know how we all have that«friend» that we really only pretend to like? Because for whatever reason we have to so we tolerate them? That«friend» that when you unexpectedly see somewhere your heart just drops? That’s the kind of patient you seem to be when the doctors you go to see you on their appointment book for the day. Also, your comment about your doctors«All I can say is my Doctors that I still see to this day always comment to me every time I come in they could not believe what this DR. did to me in trying to cut off my medications without fully understanding the scope of my other conditions that I see specialists for. « I don’t quite buy that. It sounds like you always bring it up to them and they just agree with you so they can finish up with you and get on with their day. I also believe it was more like she called your specialists to see what was up with you and all your meds. That’s how she rolls. I enjoy the fact that she talks with me about my additional 30 pounds I carry around. I haven’t lost the weight but it’s always in the back of my mind. She was on my case in that old style doctor kind of way to quit smoking. I quit March 1st. I can’t wait to tell her the good news. I might get a lolly pop. :) The office has never been crowded when I’ve been there. I barely sit down before I am called. The ladies that check me in are always pleasant. I have yet to see a grouchy grouch scary lady. I recognize most when I walk in so it seems they enjoy their jobs. Little turn over. 5 stars. Btw, I ended up here tonight because I was looking up Dr. Gilbertsons number. Time for the physical. In closing, I would like to thank The Academy and… oh, wait. Seriously, no matter what doctor you pick, make sure you go. Keep your health as long as you can.

Dr. Gilbertson has been my primary care physician for more than ten years and she is supportive, helpful, and very responsive to my problems. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Gilbertson to anyone looking for a good, engaged primary care physician.

My husband, myself and my 2 kids have been going to Dr. Gilbertson for about 2 years. I’m so surprised to see a negative review of her because we all think the world of her. I am a registered nurse and when I switched jobs I was referred to her by some of my coworkers. She is so incredibly sweet and understanding. I feel like she really listens to me and she cares about patient input. I never have to wait more than 5 – 10 minutes to see her. Even if you don’t have a appointment they take walk ins and the wait is never long! We are going to be with her for a long time to come!

I saw Dr Gilbertson a few times this year and I have decided to no longer have her as my primary Dr. She seemed nice enough on the first visit but I was having serious health problems and she had no sympathy in fact she seemed determined to make sure I would never want to see her again. She called my Dr’s and told them to stop all my medications including medication for Epilepsy because after seeing me two times she was worried about liability and not what was in me «the patients» best interest. I was left with no primary during a very serious health crisis and all three Dr’s who she called could not believe what she was doing and saw no reason to stop my medications. Update 2÷07÷13 It seems a little out of proportion all the funny click-throughs for my review and useful clicks on the new review. All I can say is my Doctors that I still see to this day always comment to me every time I come in they could not believe what this DR. did to me in trying to cut off my medications without fully understanding the scope of my other conditions that I see specialists for. I am permanently disabled and for a Dr. to do that during a medical crisis is devastating to say the least.
