Great store. Clean. Any time I go to buy strawberries they are always molded. But besides that its a great store.

Purchased a box of four cheese mashed potatoes, inside was plain mashed potatoes. Great store, but that was unexpected.

Cheap store with good stuff. One inconvenience is that they don’t offer bags so you have to bring your own or they give you boxes to carry out the stuff you bought. They don’t accept credit cards so cash or debit only.

From my extensive bargain grocery experience, I have found that most Aldi are consistently the same no matter what the location. That holds true for the Mount Prospect Aldi. Pleasant staff and a neat, orderly store. Tip: Watch out on the driveway. It’s wicked steep and you might bottom out if you don’t take it slowly.

Aldi is full of good cheap groceries. Most of the products are their house brand which are very good, but they do also have some national brands at times. I’ve never been disappointed with any of their products. For example, their house brand hummus is very good and at least half the price of what you get at Jewel. They don’t carry absolutely everything and the store is small, but you can save a lot of money by getting what you can here and the remainder somewhere else. Bring your own bags because they charge for bags. Also make sure you have a quarter so you can free your cart from bondage. It doesn’t really cost a quarter because the quarter pops back out when you return the cart to lock-up.
