Lowe’s

Great Lowes! Very clean and well lit. I have found the staff helpful. We have ordered items online and picked up.
They also have free local delivery which is a major plus for big items. They brought us an outdoor bench and it was already assembled. We like to shop here and prefer it to Home Depot.
They also offer price matching, so another plus!

«B-​Lowes» As far as you can have a good or bad Lowes, this one is not one of the best, at least not yet. The staff is friendly enough but management is (as seems usual with Lowes) inept and not acting in the customers interest. If you want a big box store, there is a much friendlier Home Depot down the road.

Like all Lowes and Home depots, the people that work there are not experts in their departments. You need to know or do research at what you want or need. But returns are easy even without a receipt. The guy at the appliance dept. is great! Got a great deal on a stainless steel stove top, double oven and a refrigerator! Sorry I forgot his name, will update. I cant say the same about the flooring department, always have trouble with orders with unexperienced workers, sorry.

What a joke. I got an estimate for a bathroom remodel. Now let’s start with the fact it’s a very small bathroom in a very small house. Took 3 weeks and 3 trips to the store (I live in NY) to get an estimate. Would not give estimate over the phone so I had to go sit through this joke of a presentation. A pathetic sales strategy to make you feel entitled to spend a ridiculous amount of money for a small job. The estimate I got was $ 15g for a bathroom in a house worth maybe $ 30g. They would not give me the prices for material but with simple math supplies come out to about $ 2g. So $ 13g in labor for about 3 days of work. No thanks. Never ever again

Definitely hit or miss. I prefer buying what I can through Amazon. When I bought paint here, I dealt with someone helpful. Trying to buy other things, not so much. Prepare to do a lot of walking… needlessly hunting for yourselves. There are more helpful places close by.

Since my two closest local Lowe’s were sold out of the additional flooring I needed, I placed an order online for three boxes of laminate flooring and chose the in-​store pick up option at a Lowe’s 40 minutes away from me. I was then called by an associate to let me know that they only had 2 boxes of the flooring I needed; and that they were now discounted due to their boxes being damaged. I inquired about the quality of the actual flooring, since the boxes were showing damage. The woman assured me that the flooring was fine, just the boxes showed damage. I again asked about her being sure of the integrity of the flooring, as I needed to drive 1 hour and 20 minutes (round-​trip) to pick these up; again I was assured they were fine. She was pleasant and seemingly helpful, so I agreed to the modified order.
Once I picked up the items at the store I was met with an apathetic associate who literally couldn’t even be bothered to look at the item when I questioned her about the quality of the flooring. I drove another 40 minutes back home to open the flooring I was met with unquestionable damage to virtually every board in the box, with one board even being CUT. (See photos, they speak for themselves). Aside from that, it was also not even the correct product! These planks won’t even lock into the other boxes of flooring since it’s not even the same product!
It’s reprehensible that this flooring was not only returned by someone in this condition, but then re-​packaged and sold to someone else in this condition. I cannot believe that a manager of this store has such little integrity that they would actually lie to make a sale with such little disregard for their customer!!! Unbelievable that this location is so deceptive in their practices. I would advise everyone to avoid this location AT ALL COST.

The Lowe’s in mt pocono has great customer service. I never leave the store aggravated. I shop here weekly for home improvement projects.

This is a beautiful new Lowe’s that has the standard selection you’d expect a store of this size. What stands out to me is the huge garden/​plant/​flower area and the helpful staff. I’ve only stopped in a few times, but it’s been a positive experience every time.

Lowe’s is the newest thing open here «on the mountain» though of course there are a few others in the area. The joy of having a hardware (and so much more!) store so close to our little community is something that is difficult to express.
Think of a home improvement project, and home improvement project. Think of all of the items that you need, and all of the many steps that need to happen in order to complete the project. Think about heading to your nearest hardware store and loading your cart with goodies. You measure your list twice, and buy once. You head home.
Forgot something, didn’t you?
In the time it took you to buy everything, the family altered the plan? Again.
What were you thinking? You had it all worked out. You’ve done this before. You’ve been in this house for years, and know it from front door to back. Heck, you installed the back door yourself! Why, oh why, is this so much harder than you think it should be?
Ah, but no worries! This project isn’t like the last project. This time, the closest Lowe’s is just 10 minutes away, instead of 10 miles away the way it was last year. This time, stopping the project to run out and get «that one thing» (and then that one other thing, and then the next thing, and maybe one final thing, just to be sure… oh wait!) only takes enough time to distract, not enough time to stop a project cold. Now you know that when you end up with the bits and pieces that you did not need, the bag of returns won’t sit in the trunk for a week while you work your way back to the store.
Lowe’s is conveniently located next to Wal Mart, and across from Kmart. Businesses have finally realized that the sleepy town of Mt. Pocono has a larger customer base than they ever imagined, and that there is cash to be spent on and in the beautiful homes in this area. I’m so happy to see these changes to our community.
Lowe’s offers a military discount to those who ask, and is filled with helpful associates who are working hard on memorizing the store layout and inventory. This is a huge, good store, and will only get better.
