Really stand off-​ish staff that made me feel like they just didn’t even want me there. And they didn’t care to explain the process of getting my first tattoo at all, even after I asked. Ended up talking me into putting $ 20 down on a down payment for the drawing which would then be deducted from the total cost of the tattoo.
I ended up getting it done elsewhere for a better price, with a better atmosphere. Went back to get my $ 20 back, seeing as they had yet to do anything besides write my name down in their schedule book, and they refused, and tried to shrug it off, and shift blame amongst themselves.
Don’t go to Sinister.
Just horrible service.

Got my first tattoo here and am more than willing to go back! The staff there was nice and very friendly. I can’t remember the artist’s name, but he was super excited about giving me the tattoo. I was a walk-​in, didn’t have an appointment, so I got pretty lucky that they had an artist open. Overall it was a great experience, the price for the tattoo was reasonable and like I said the artist did an awesome job! It’s been about 4 months since I got it and it turned out very nice! Shop was very clean and the equipment was well kept and sterile. It may be in a college town, but it’s a great shop.

I moved home in the end of July and sought out a new Artist. I found ‘D’ and in the last 5 months he has put 4 kick ass tatts on me. ‘D’ and Jimmy are as good as it gets, these guys are true professionals, real artists. Not just a couple idiots slinging ink. If you want the best, make the drive to MP and go see the boys at Sinister. You can not find better ink anywhere in Michigan, and I am not sure about anywhere in the country. I’ve been all over and these guys are tip top!!!
