I was very happy with my meal. The person who waited on me was very helpful in helping me select a meal. I really liked the noodles.

Unilocal steered me to Shin’s with its great stars rating and I was not disappointed! Very happy with my dinner!

Love the food so much. Best ethnic in Mount Pleasant. A little pricey but worth it. Doesn’t work well for carry out though. Highly recommend this hike in the wall

Excellent Food! I had the pork and rice and it came with a generous helping of kimchee, pickled radish and Miso Soup! Will definitely be back and next time sticking around for some mochi ice cream!

This is solid Korean pick up food. We take our food to go so haven’t dined in but they have consistently great food. Our favorite is the Bulgogi and Kimchi Pancake.

The food is really good you have to try it. Love the soup that they give you before the meal. I like the Kimchi, not spicy at all and it is good for first timers.

I went to this place since it had the top spot in Mt pleasant on Unilocal.Seems pretty authentic, there were some asians having food here(a good sign). They have some unique beverage choices like yogurt soda. I went with a less-adventurous choice of karee rice. It seemed like a stew and was nothing like have tasted before. It was not at all spicy — towards bland. May be i need to try something else next time. Will be back!

We came here on our first visit to the city, and went for lunch based upon good Unilocal reviews. This is really an excellent restaurant. Quite authentic, even down to very unique beverage choices(yogurt soda, cinnamon juice, aloe vera). We had a group of 5 that each got something different, and everything was fantastic. The food was prepared quickly and was very fresh. The staff is very friendly. I have only been to a couple of Korean restaurants(most of my Korean food experience has been in the homes of Koreans). Though I’m no expert, I am pretty sure this is authentic, but there are also many dishes that would be for the ‘less adventurous’. I would definitely eat here again. Unilocal wins again!

Much better than before! The pancake was a bit greasy but everything tastes great! I’d prefer a bit bigger portion of pork in their M1.

For anyone who has lived in Mt. Pleasant would know that the rural town has little diversity and cultural horizon. Shin offers authentic Korean food and their choices are mostly acceptable by the customers who have never encountered Asian cuisines before. Down to earth service, Mrs. Shin is a sweetheart.

Authentic homemade Korean food with an expanding menu. Service is always great and side dishes seem endless. Overall price is a little bit on the expensive side; however, this is pretty negligible. If you’re a newcomer to Korean food, definitely start with the bulgogi. It’s basically thinly sliced beef marinated with carrots, onions, and sweet/savory marinade, topped with sesame seeds. The dish also comes with rice(the rice itself has purple rice mixed in!). Some confuse the idea of bulgogi being korean bbq with american bbq. These are not the same tastes. Other great dishes to start with is their stir fried chicken or curry. On the topic of groups, the space is rather small. With that said, I always go in with a large group(8+ people). We usually go after the lunch rush, so the owner actually lets us push tables together. She’s so nice! Anyway, the best/only place to find Korean food in town, but just because it’s the only Korean food in town doesn’t make it any less delicious. I’ve had homesick Korean friends come with me to eat here and they say it’s better than a lot of Korean restaurants to come across in Chicago and NY. If you feeling like spending a little extra cash, Shin’s will definitely be worth it.

The location of this place is unassuming and quiet, but once they bring you your food, nothing else matters because it is so delicious! They always bring amazing little bowls of «starters» before you eat, and sometimes with your meal since they make everything super fast. One of the starters is a small bowl of miso, the other is some of their house-made kimchi, and I always forget what the third bowl is, but I think it is some kind of pickled yellow radish. My absolute favorite is N1. It is sweet potato noodles with various vegetables and rice! It is seriously delicious, and I was so skeptical at first since it is hard to find quality Korean in this area, but this place is killer! I also usually get an A2, fried dumplings, as well. You need to check this place out!

I wish we had a place like this in Midland. The food was very good and so was the service. My only complaint is that the chopsticks are stainless steel. You can ask for wooden. Will definitely eat here again.
